June 15, 2017 - The U.S. Marshals Service is offering up to a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of two fugitives (James Osler and Requon Dillard) stemming from the shooting of an elderly Platte County man during an Armed Robbery in February 2017.

May 15, 2017 - The U.S. Marshals Service is offering up to a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of two fugitives stemming from the shooting of an elderly Platte County man during an armed robbery in February 2017. James Osler and Re'quon Dillard are believed to be at large in the Kansas City metro area following the shooting and both actively receiving assistance by family and friends.

April 12, 2017 - The U.S. Marshals are warning the public of ongoing jury duty telephone scams. It begins when the scammer, posing as a U.S. Marshal or other law enforcement officer, calls a victim to advise that he or she has missed federal jury duty but can avoid arrest by paying a fine immediately.

October 18, 2016 - On the evening of October 16, 2016, Whitney Grey was shot and killed in an apparent road rage incident in Independence, MO. Grey was reportedly driving her minivan with her two young children inside when an unknown situation occurred in which another driver is suspected of shooting a firearm into her vehicle. She was hit by the gun fire and died at the scene. Independence Missouri Police Detectives were able to identify the suspect as Christopher P. Taylor from Independence, MO.

October 07, 2016 - Teenage fugitive mother Whitley Evenson, from Independence, Missouri, has been captured after months on the run. The Jackson County, MO Prosecutor charged Whitley Evenson with the murder of her six-week-old child in September 2015.

September 13, 2016 - This week the United States Marshals Service collaborated with the Kansas City and Independence Missouri Police Departments, the FBI and ATF to support the Kansas City No Violence Alliance (KC NoVA) by lending a hand in tracking down some of the area’s most violent and persistent offenders in Operation Street Audit Sept. 12-13.

May 31, 2016 - In a collaborative effort, the U.S. Marshals Service teamed up with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and 18 other federal, state and local law enforcement agencies to conduct the largest scale sex offender check ever conducted in Jackson County. Entitled “Operation Safe Spring”, over 140 law enforcement officers came together for a common goal; 100% sex offender registration compliance.

May 04, 2016 - The U.S. Marshals held a live and Web simulcast vehicle auction at the KCI Auto Auction in Kansas City, Missouri last Thursday. The auction included over 20 high-end cars and motorcycles from Thomas Hauk's private collection. Over 700 bidders from 30 states competed with one another for a chance to own one of these exotic and pristine vehicles, many of which had barely been driven.

April 21, 2016 - Alfred C. Lomax, the United States Marshal for the Western District of Missouri, announces the arrest of fugitive Christopher D. Harper. Harper is a convicted sex offender and has pending charges in Greene County, Missouri, for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.

September 30, 2015 - Alfred C. Lomax, the United States Marshal for the Western District of Missouri, announces the arrest of fugitive Timothy L. Murray. Investigators with the U.S. Marshals Service Southern Missouri Fugitive Task Force, along with the Springfield Police Department, located and arrested Murray at a residence in Springfield, Missouri. Murray was charged on September 17, 2015, with one count of 1st Degree Murder, and one count of Armed Criminal Action.

September 23, 2015 - Alfred C. Lomax, the United States Marshal for the Western District of Missouri, announces the arrest of fugitive Gabriella R. Shields. Shields was charged on September 17, 2015, in Christian County, Missouri with one count of 1st Degree Murder, and one count of Armed Criminal Action.

July 30, 2015 - Donnel Ramonte Rawls is wanted by the U.S. Marshals for homicide and feticide (causing the death of a fetus) that occurred February 16, 2015 in Atlanta, GA. The U.S. Marshals Service is offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads directly to his arrest if you contact the Marshals Service directly.

January 15, 2014 - Yesterday evening, U.S. Marshals, Kansas City and Independence Police apprehended a Tucson, Ariz. double homicide suspect. Michael D. Leday is alleged to have killed Patrick Balbastro and Cindy Burnett, as well as critically injuring Balbastro’s girlfriend with Balbastro's vehicle.
