District News: Aaron SCOTT was arrested on September 7, 2016, in Merrillville, Indiana, by members of the Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force (GLRFTF). Scott was wanted by the Gary Police Department (GPD) for Attempted Murder and Robbery. Charges allege that on June 18, 2015, Scott and others lured the victim to a residence in Gary with the intent to rob him. Once at the residence, the victim was beaten and robbed of three hundred dollars in U.S. Currency. The victim attempted to follow Scott and his co-defendants. Scott produced a handgun and fired multiple shots at the victim. Scott was identified as the shooter and on June 23, 2015, the GLRFTF was contacted seeking assistance in locating and arresting Scott.

On September 7, 2016, GLRFTF members identified a possible residence that Scott was staying in and set up surveillance at that location. GLRFTF members confirmed Scott was inside the residence. GLRFTF made entry into the residence and safely took him into custody. Scott was transported to the Lake County Jail for booking and processing.

Andre QUARLES - The Northern District of Indiana, United States Marshals Service and Great Lakes Fugitive Task Force have been assigned to locate and arrest fugitive Andre Quarles. Quarles is wanted for Distribution of Cocaine out of Central Illinois. Quarles whereabouts are unknown. He has connections to Northern Indiana with ties to Gary.
