April 14, 2017 - A team of law enforcement officers, led by U.S. Marshals from Des Moines and Cedar Rapids, Iowa arrested an accused Mississippi carjacker without incident as he was standing outside a department store. Omar Christolis Bankhead was wanted by the Clinton, MS Police Department for allegedly carjacking a Mississippi College student at gunpoint in a campus parking garage.


August 15, 2016 - U.S. Marshals joined Ames Police in the manhunt for a Fort Dodge man who was wanted for an August 9th shooting that left one man hospitalized. The manhunt ended yesterday when a team of federal, state, and local law enforcement officers, led by U.S. Marshals, arrested Kevin Darnell Williams in Chicago.


April 21, 2016 - A team of federal, state, and local law enforcement officers arrested a convicted sex offender in Des Moines on Friday following a month-long, multi-state manhunt for the Missouri man. The U.S. Marshals Southern Iowa Fugitive Task Force arrested Christopher Dean Harper in Des Moines on April 15th. Harper was wanted for Failure to Appear on a drug charge in Christian County, Missouri.


August 28, 2015 - A three-month manhunt for a Des Moines, Iowa shooting suspect has ended with the fugitive’s arrest in Riverdale, Illinois. A team of law enforcement officers led by U.S. Marshals arrested James Matthew Butler on August 27th. Butler was wanted by the Des Moines Police Department on three counts of Attempted Murder.


July 08, 2015 - A team of law enforcement officers led by U.S. Marshals arrested an Abilene, Texas man today on Des Moines’ Southside. Noe Lopez Trevino was wanted by the Abilene Police Department in connection with the stabbing death of Lewis Maston in early April.
