October 14, 2015 - The U.S. Marshals from Northern District of Georgia, Special Response Team, with the assistance of Customs and Border Protection, SRT, Georgia State Patrol, Atlanta Police Department, SWAT, Air and Traffic, and Patrol, as well as the Federal Protective Service, transported alleged drug lord Edgar “La Barbie” Valdez and Carlos Montemayor to U.S. P. Atlanta on Friday, October 9.

March 30, 2015 - In 1987, Ira Anthony Boudreaux was convicted in the Eastern District of Louisiana of Conspiracy and Extortion for the aggravated kidnapping of a 3 year-old boy. The child was eventually recovered safely after being abandoned in a sugar cane field, and Boudreaux received a 40-year sentence and is on parole until 2032. In March 2012, Boudreaux violated the conditions of his parole and was sentenced to 14 months.

June 05, 2014 - Eric Jerome Powell was apprehended after being found guilty during trial and failing to appear for the reading of the verdict. Powell, along with codefendants Carlos Powell and Earnest Page, were three of twelve individuals who had been charged in an indictment with violating federal drug laws which included conspiracy to distribute in excess of 30 kilograms of heroin, 12 kilograms of cocaine, 1000 pounds of marijuana and laundering in excess of $21 million in U.S. currency.

March 14, 2014 - On February 20, Kenneth Darnell Smith was located and apprehended by the Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force in Miami after being on the run for five years. Smith was wanted by the DeKalb County Police Department for Murder and by the U.S. Marshals Service in Atlanta for Violating the Conditions of his Supervised Release.

January 23, 2014 - The U.S. Marshals from Northern District of Georgia, Gainesville office, with the assistance of Gainesville Police Department, arrested a foreign fugitive who is charged with Aggravated Homicide in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.
