September 14, 2016 - On September 9, 2016, at the Tampa Bay Area Chiefs of Police Foundation Gala, Deputy United States Marshal Roger Devall was awarded as Federal Agent of the Year. Deputy Devall has been employed with the United States Marshals Service for 19 years. A year ago Deputy Devall was assigned to investigate unregistered sex offenders as part of the Middle District of Florida’s Sex Offender Initiative.
August 27, 2015 - Middle District of Florida United States Marshal William Berger has committed a 10 man team of Deputy Marshals to proactively track, target, and enforce the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act. The U.S. Marshals Service Middle District of Florida is committed to working with and supporting state, local, and federal agencies to prosecute high risk unregistered sex offenders.
June 23, 2015 - The U.S. Marshals Service Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force - Tampa Division - arrested William Benton in Tarpon Springs, FL. Benton was placed on the Massachusetts State Police “Most Wanted List” after allegedly shooting a man during an argument in May 2015. Overall, Benton had five outstanding warrants for his arrest with the most serious being Attempted Murder.
June 18, 2015 - On June 15, 2015, the U.S. Marshals Service Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force - Tampa Division - arrested Anthony Maresca in Palm Harbor, Florida. Maresca had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for the past year charging him with Bank Robbery. Maresca is the suspect in several bank robberies in Pasco, Hernando, and Pinellas Counties.
March 19, 2015 - On March 18, 2015, law enforcement officers from the U.S. Marshals Service Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force, Pasco County Sheriff’s Office and New Port Richey Police Department, arrested Edward Tarras and Kristopher Dohm in New Port Richey, Florida.
March 05, 2015 - U.S. Marshals escorted a former military officer from Honduras to the U.S. to face child pornography charges. James Benjamin Smith, a resident of Valrico, Florida, has an outstanding warrant in Hillsborough County, Florida, charging him with 100 counts of possession of child pornography, both images and video.
November 21, 2014 - George D. Constantakis was arrested by U.S. Marshals, with the assistance of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). Constantakis was wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service for Conspiracy to Distribute and Possession with Intent to Distribute 5 Kilograms or more of Cocaine.
