ABSTRACT: Records in the Key Control system consists of identifying information on USMS employees, keys issued and corresponding information concerning key identification code, area of key access, transaction type and date, and key status.

PURPOSE: The Key Control system serves as a record of keys issued and facilitates continuing security at USMS headquarters locations.

ACCESS CONSTRAINTS: Access is restricted to personnel with a need-to-know to perform their official duties, using locks and , assigned codes and passwords.

USE CONSTRAINTS: Users are restricted to only those privileges necessary to perform assigned tasks.

AGENCY PROGRAMS: The Key Control Record System is used to support the USMS in providing assistance in the protection of Federal property and buildings.

SOURCES OF DATA: Information in this system is collected from the individual and the system manager.
