December 29, 2004 - On December 28, 2004 the San Antonio Area Fugitive Enforcement (S.A.A.F.E.) Task Force under the direction of the United States Marshals Service with the assistance of Fredericksburg Police Department and Gillespie Sheriff’s Department arrested Jamie Castillo in Fredericksburg, Texas.

December 20, 2004 - Deputy United States Marshals and Strike Team Officers from the Dallas Police Department arrested Jason A. Wiggins during a traffic stop in Dallas, Texas. Wiggins was wanted by the State of New Mexico for the murder of Charles Small which occurred on March 19, 2004.

December 20, 2004 - The U.S. Marshals Metro Fugitive Task Force arrested Miqueal Hakiim Bowie, a top ten fugitive out of Sedgwick County, Kansas. Good solid investigative work led members of the Metro Fugitive Task Force to a local apartment complex, where Bowie was arrested without incident. Bowie was being sought on a warrant issued by Sedgwick County, Kansas charging him with aggravated battery and for domestic battery.

December 17, 2004 - It is a destination most criminals would rather avoid, but Randy Mark Yager, head of the Outlaws motorcycle gang in Chicago, has just landed on the U.S. Marshals list of 15 MOST WANTED fugitives.  He earned this dubious distinction thanks to a lifetime of violent crime.

December 17, 2004 - Shamek Hynson was arrested in Utica, NY last week. Hynson, 24, was the subject of Lexington County warrants for Assault and Battery with Intent to Kill , Lynching, Criminal Conspiracy and Possession of a Firearm During a Crime of Violence.

December 16, 2004 - The U.S. Marshals Service announces the end of 972 days of freedom and what in recent months developed into an international manhunt for fugitive and escapee KERRY SILVERS of Lawrence County, Indiana. Indianapolis U.S. Marshals aggressively pursued SILVERS for the past 109 days, or since the August 28, 2004, airing of the popular FOX television program America’s Most Wanted.

December 16, 2004 - Members of the U.S. Marshals led Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force (SERFTF) and the Atlanta Police Department arrested DeMarco Campbell and Creason Reed.  Campbell and Reed were wanted for a November 2004, double murder in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

December 16, 2004 - The U.S. Marshals Service High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) team and State Fire Marshal’s Office arrest Jason A. Lennon and Chantai A. Marshall, two suspects involved in the apparent attempted murder of seven people by firebombing in an occupied residence.

December 10, 2004 - Marcus Jones was arrested without incident early Friday morning at a residence on Kershaw Street in Timmonsville. Jones was wanted in the District of Columbia for his alleged involvement in the 1997 shooting death of Kevin Lamont Jackson.

December 10, 2004 - Atlanta Police Department and US Marshals led fugitive task for arrests two Atlanta Police Department Top Ten Fugitives this week.  At approximately 2:30pm today, Atlanta Police Investigators and members of the US Marshals led Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force (SERFTF) arrested the second of two APD Top Ten Fugitives.  This week APD and Task Force investigators captured both Ceylon Mason and Melvin Johnson.


December 10, 2004 - Pedro Zacarias, a federal fugitive wanted on outstanding federal charges for narcotics distribution, has been arrested in the Wilmington area of Los Angeles, by U.S. Marshals. Zacarias was being sought on a warrant issued on November 09, 2004 in Muskogee, Oklahoma by the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, charging him with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and cocaine.

December 09, 2004 - U.S. Marshals ended a three-year international manhunt for a 61-year old federal fugitive from Indianapolis. James R. Harrold was escorted off an aircraft under heavy guard by federal marshals returning from the Central American country of Belize -- where Harrold been hiding claiming citizenship there using a bogus birth certificate and an assumed name.

December 08, 2004 - A Top Ten Fugitive wanted in Atlanta on a Homicide Warrant was captured in Orlando, Florida by a team of law enforcement officers led by the U.S. Marshals Service. Ceylon D. Mason was designated a Top Ten Fugitive by the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force after being charged in an execution-style Homicide in Atlanta, Georgia.

December 08, 2004 - 15 Most Wanted - Today U.S. Marshals joined a national search for an Ohio lawyer who fled the state just ahead of charges he raped an infant child. Local authorities asked the Marshals for assistance, and this morning the agency added John Dallas Lockhart’s name to their 15 MOST WANTED list.

December 03, 2004 - After being on the run for more than 20 years, fugitive Joseph Allen STRIEGLE is finally behind bars. Wanted on an escape warrant stemming from him fleeing a state prison in 1981, Striegle was apprehended by Federal Marshals and the Westminster Police Department in Denver, Colorado. 

November 24, 2004 - The United States Marshals Service task force, Operation Intercept, arrested Grayson Henry Russell in Mt. Pleasant. Russell was wanted by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department for Corporate Malfeasance. Russell, the former race director of the Charlotte Marathon Run for Peace, is alleged to have converted race funds for his personal use.

November 22, 2004 - A fugitive wanted by the U.S. Marshals stabbed himself in the chest as law enforcement officers entered the residence where he was known to reside.  Adam Holsey was wanted by the U.S. Marshals Southern District of Illinois (Benton), for Conspiracy to Manufacture Methamphetamine.

November 19, 2004 - On the evening of Thursday, November 18, 2004 over a six hour period, the US Marshal led Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force captured several violent fugitives that had been preying on the citizens of Atlanta.

November 19, 2004 - Deputy United States Marshals and Strike Team Officers from the Dallas Police Department arrested Dwight Island & Phillip Henderson in Dallas, TX. Officers were conducting a fugitive investigation of an associate when officers determined that the residence contained apparent drug trafficking evidence.

November 18, 2004 -  A team of law enforcement officers led by U.S. Marshals arrested a major fugitive early this morning in Des Moines. Lopez Christian Webster was being sought by the Des Moines Police Department on charges of Assault with a Weapon, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon, and two counts of Domestic Assault with a Weapon.

November 18, 2004 John Carothers, a major fugitive wanted on outstanding State of Washington charges for escape,  has been arrested by a team of law enforcement officers led by the U.S. Marshals in Orlando on Thursday, November 18.

November 18, 2004Within 24 hours from receiving leads on Elizabeth Bitanga, the Guam Fugitive Task Force located and arrested a 54-year-old woman in connection with multiple embezzlement and forgery charges she faces in Virginia.

November 17, 2004 - Fugitive Antonio Johnson was arrested on November 11th as he tried to enter Germany through Frankfurt. Johnson was convicted in United States District Court in September 2002 for his involvement in a cocaine conspiracy.

November 16, 2004 - Luxon Coriolan, 23, on the U.S. Marshals 15 MOST WANTED fugitive list since September, was arrested in Jacksonville, Florida, today at 1:30 pm.  Coriolan, a Haitian native and criminal gang member, was sought on two counts of murder, three counts of attempted murder, and firearms violations in New Jersey, as well as two prior warrants involving criminal sexual contact against a minor, and kidnapping.


November 15, 2004 - The United States Marshals Service task force, Operation Intercept, arrested Tabari Malik Zahir in York County. Zahir was the subject of a federal indictment charging him with Possession with Intent to Distribute and Attempted Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine.

GonzalezNovember 10, 2004 - The U.S. Marshals Service is seeking any information from the public which would lead to the apprehension of Jose Jesus Gonzalez.  He is wanted for participating in a major narcotics distribution ring operating out of the East San Fernando Valley in 1995. Gonzalez is being sought on an April 27, 1995 warrant in Los Angeles by the U.S. District Court, for the Central District of California.  He is charged with Conspiracy to Possess with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine; Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute; and Aiding and Abetting.

FitzenNovember 08, 2004 - Dwayne Keith Fitzen, who was being held at the Federal Correctional Institution in Waseca, Minnesota, escaped from the custody of the Federal Bureau of Prisons on September 16, 2004. Fitzen was last seen in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 16, 2004. While in Las Vegas, he withdrew $12,000 in cash from a bank account. His current whereabouts remain unknown. The public is asked to contact the U.S. Marshals Service in Los Angeles at (213) 894-2485, with any information.

November 08, 2004 - Swift justice prevailed in the case of Shateek Andrews who was captured in New York on Saturday, literally within hours of being added to the U.S. Marshals 15 Most Wanted list. Andrews had been identified by the New York City Police Department (NYPD) as the violent armed robber who had terrorized small business owners and employees in the city’s Bronx area.

November 5, 2004 - U.S. Marshals Service announced the addition of Charles  Leroy Dean to their 15 Most Wanted list.  In announcing Dean’s addition to the Marshals’ most wanted list, United States Marshal Johnny Mack Brown said, “We have been aggressively pursuing leads trying to locate Charles Leroy Dean and hope that increased public awareness will provide us with the break we need to make sure he doesn’t hurt anyone else.” See News Release

November 5, 2004 - U.S. Marshals Service Director Benigno Reyna has announced the addition of Shateek Andrews, to their 15 Most Wanted list.

November 04, 2004 - Fugitive David B. MYERS was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force.  MYERS was wanted for Attempted Aggravated Murder, Willful Fleeing, Theft and Passing Bad Checks.

Jesse Esponoza OnofreNovember 01, 2004 - On October 31, 2004 Jesse Espinoza Onofre escaped from a Bureau of Prisons’ Halfway House.  He is considered to be armed and extremely dangerous, and may be possibly involved in a homicide.

October 29, 2004 - The United States Marshals Service is currently seeking any information that would lead to the apprehension of Shamek HYNSON. Hynson, has warrants for Assault and Battery with Intent to Kill, Lynching, Criminal Conspiracy and Possession of a Firearm During a Crime of Violence.

October 28, 2004 - Deputy United States Marshals and Strike Team Officers from the Dallas Police Department arrested Christopher Jones in Duncanville, Texas. Jones was wanted by the Dallas Police Department for Capital Murder.

October 27, 2004 - Deputy United States Marshals and Strike Team Officers from the Dallas Police Department arrested murder suspect, Michael Griggs, in Irving, Texas.

October 26, 2004 - A major fugitive wanted on outstanding federal charges for methamphetamine distribution has been arrested by U.S. Marshals in Boyle Heights. Jose Jesus Martinez (aka Juan Rosario Gonsalez) was being sought on an arrest warrant issued on April 02, 1999, by the U.S. District Court, Los Angeles.  Martinez is also accused of being responsible for the operation of a methamphetamine lab in Salinas, CA in which 41 gallons of methamphetamine oil was seized, capable of producing approximately 100 pounds of methamphetamine.


October 22, 2004 - Deputy United States Marshals and Strike Team Officers from the Dallas Police Department and Dallas County Sheriffs Department arrested Billy Wayne Williams in Arlington, TX. Williams was wanted on a Failure to Appear warrant stemming form an original charge of aggravated assault.

October 21, 2004 - Deputy United States Marshals and Strike Team Officers from the Dallas Police Department and Dallas County Sheriffs Department arrested Keith Hart in Dallas, TX. Hart was wanted on three outstanding felony warrants: two warrants for Aggravated Robbery and one for Probation Violation.

October 14, 2004, Federal fugitive Gustavo Suarez was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service at the airport in San Juan Puerto Rico. Suarez was en route to Paris, France while using the alias name of Miguel Reyes. Suarez was wanted in the Eastern District of Washington on Escape charges from an incident on May 16, 1990, when an accomplice assisted him in fleeing custody from the Geiger Correctional Center at Spokane where he was serving a 9 year sentence.

October 20, 2004 - A Texas Top 10 fugitive was arrested early Tuesday (10-19-04) after barricading himself in a hotel room and taking his girlfriend hostage. John Perales was arrested at a Best Western near Lake Worth after officers forced their way into the room where he had his girlfriend in a chokehold.

October 19, 2004 - On Tuesday, October 19, 2004, at approximately 2:30 p.m., Travious Bateman, 19, one of Atlanta's ten most wanted criminals, was captured by members of the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force (SERFTF) and the Atlanta Police Department in southwest Atlanta.

October 15, 2004 Marty Busby, a violent fugitive wanted on 27 outstanding state charges has been arrested by investigators from the Fulton County Police Department, the Fulton County Sheriffs Office and members of the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force (SERFTF).

October 13, 2004 - The United States Marshals Service in the Southern District of Texas with the assistance of the Webb County Sheriff’s Department arrested Reymundo Flores Alaniz and Victor Nava-Franco, two (2) escapees from the Frio County Jail.

October 12, 2004 - The final three escapees from the Montgomery State Prison in Georgia were captured as they attempted to leave Nichols Grocery Store in Marietta, Oklahoma.  They were captured by members of the US Marshals Dallas/Ft Worth Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, and US Marshals from the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

October 12, 2004 - Police arrested two men and a woman Friday morning (10-08-04) in the home-invasion robbery and fatal shooting of a Fort Worth man Thursday morning (10-07-04). Antonio Lemont Hampton, 22, Richard Mathis, 20, and Ellien Lewis, 27, were arrested in the slaying of Roney Gibson.

October 07, 2004 - A Knoxville man faces a kidnapping charge after he allegedly used the Internet to lure a 15-year-old North Carolina girl into a meeting before abducting her, authorities said.

October 07, 2004 - Charles Leroy Dean has been placed on the United States Marshals Service list of ten most wanted South Carolina fugitives.  Dean faces sentencing on his convictions for Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor and Disseminating Obscene Material to a Minor

October 05, 2004 - The San Antonio Area Fugitive Enforcement (S.A.A.F.E.) Task Force, sponsored by the United States Marshals Service with the assistance of the Bexar County Sheriff’s Department arrested Robert Lee Jack in connection with the August 6, 2004 Frio County Jail escape of five (5) federal inmates.  Read More
