This Week's 'Fugitive of the Week' Tracked Down and Arrested in Florida

NHJFTF LogoConcord, NH – Early this evening, this week’s scheduled Fugitive of the Week, Keith Christopher Samson was tracked down and arrested by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Florida. Keith Samson, 26, was last known to be transient in the Concord, NH area, when he fled to Florida.

The Merrimack County Sheriff's Office was actively seeking to locate and arrest Samson on two outstanding arrest warrants and had requested the assistance of the NH Joint Fugitive Task Force. Sampson was in violation of his conditions of probation for a prior conviction and sentence for drugs, as well as being sought on a new outstanding drug warrant.

As part of the U.S. Marshals Service investigation, Samson was selected and slated to be featured as this week’s “Fugitive of the Week.”

Even though Samson was scheduled to be the 'Fugitive of the Week,' investigators continued to diligently work on this case. The "Fugitive of the Week" is broadcast on WTPL-FM, WMUR-TV, The Union Leader, The Nashua Telegraph, The Patch and is prominently featured on the internet.

Over the past two days, investigators in NH developed information that led them to a possible location of Samson at a residence in Interlachen, FL. This information was forwarded to U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in FL, who quickly acted on this information this evening. The information provided led investigators in FL to the 100 block of Helmers Avenue in Interlachen, FL., where Samson was located and arrested without incident. Samson is being charged as a fugitive from justice in Florida and will be held at the Putnam County Jail in FL pending his initial court appearance and eventual return to Merrimack County, NH to face his two outstanding criminal matters.

Since the inception of the New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force in 2002, these partnerships have resulted in over 5,523 arrests. These arrests have ranged in seriousness from murder, assault, unregistered sex offenders, probation and parole violations and numerous other serious offenses. Nationally the United States Marshals Service fugitive programs are carried out with local law enforcement in 94 district offices, 85 local fugitive task forces, 7 regional task forces, as well as a growing network of offices in foreign countries.
