Wilmington Man Arrested by Greensboro U.S. Marshals

Hamlet, NC – This morning at 9:30 AM, Tayshawn Lamons Robbins, a 30 year old Black Male, was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force (JFTF). Robbins was wanted by the Wilmington Police Department for Armed Robbery, Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury and Possession of a Firearm in relation to a robbery that occurred on September 10th in which the victim was shot in the foot.

Information was obtained by investigators in Wilmington that Robbins fled to the Hamlet area, in which the JFTF got involved and quickly set up surveillance. Robbins was taken into custody without incident at 124 Sanford Street. JFTF transported Robbins to the Richmond County Jail where he received a $50,000 secured bond.

The U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force for the Middle District of North Carolina is comprised of investigators from the U.S. Marshals Service, Chapel Hill Police Department, Durham Police Department, Greensboro Police Department, High Point Police Department, Winston Salem Police Department, Alamance County Sheriff’s Office, Orange County Sheriff’s Office, the North Carolina Department of Public Safety Probation and Parole Division and the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
