Sex Predator Captured & Awaiting Extradition
Fugitive Arrested & Facing 4 Counts of Sexual Assault Involving Children

Del Rio, TX – Kenneth Taisipic Muna, 38, was arrested Saturday by the United States Marshals Service Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force (PSRFTF) in Twentynine Palms, CA. An arrest warrant was issued for Muna pursuant to an investigation by the Del Rio Police Department (DRPD), where it is alleged that Muna committed 3 counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and 1 count of indecency with a child.

On June 5, 2013, the United States Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) was contacted by the DRPD for assistance in locating and apprehending Muna. Task force officers initiated an investigation and determined that Muna had previously fled from Del Rio, TX to Twentynine Palms, CA. Task force officers then contacted the PSRFTF for assistance in locating and apprehending Muna. Last week, members of the PSRFTF, through investigative efforts, determined that Muna was hiding out at an apartment in the 73000 block of Sunnyvale Avenue in Twentynine Palms, CA. Task force officers entered the apartment, identified themselves, and found Muna hiding in the bathroom. Muna was immediately arrested and taken into custody without incident.

Muna is currently being held at the Morongo Basin Jail in San Bernardino County, CA on a $50,000 bond, awaiting extradition back to Val Verde County, TX.

On April 26, 2013, Muna was indicted by a Grand Jury in Val Verde County and an arrest warrant was issued after an investigation was conducted by the DRPD, alleging that Muna had fondled and sodomized two juvenile males in August of 2012. After the alleged incident, Muna fled from Del Rio, TX to Twentynine Palms, CA, where he was arrested Saturday.

Robert R. Almonte, United States Marshal for the Western District of Texas, stated, “Thanks to the collaborative efforts of both the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force and the Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force for taking another sex predator off the streets. Now that Muna is behind bars, hopefully the healing process can begin for these two young boys who viciously had their innocence taken away.”
