Harrisburg, PA – United States Marshal Martin J. Pane
today announced that the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) arrested Albert Bowman in
Bowman, a 33-year old man, was being sought by authorities in York County on

In September 2012, the York City Police Department
investigated an allegation of rape and sexual assault of a minor. Based upon
this investigation, on June 14, 2013, an arrest warrant for Bowman was issued in
The York City Police Department requested the assistance of the United States
Marshals Service Middle District of Pennsylvania (M/PA) Task Force. The Task
Force determined Bowman was residing in York County.
On June 17, Deputy U.S. Marshals, along with task force personnel, located and
arrested Bowman in the 900 block of West College Avenue in York. Bowman was
taken into custody without incident. He was turned over to local authorities for
United States Marshal Martin J. Pane stated, “The U.S. Marshals Service takes an
aggressive, deliberate approach in locating and arresting fugitives charged with
serious felony offenses, especially those wanted for sex crimes against
children. It is my sincere hope that the victim will find some measure of
comfort knowing that the alleged attacker has been brought to justice.”
U.S. Marshals were assisted by officers from the York City Police Department,
York County Sheriff’s Office and the York County District Attorney’s Office.
These agencies are participating members of the USMS M/PA Fugitive Task Force.
The concept of all USMS-led fugitive task forces is to seek out and arrest the
nation’s most dangerous offenders.
