Washington – March 15, 2013 members of the D.C. Superior Court Warrant Squad arrested Christopher Young on the 600 block of 46th Place Southeast in Washington, D.C., announced U.S. Marshal Michael Hughes, U.S. Marshal for Superior Court of the District of Columbia.

On Feb. 12, 2013, an original arrest warrant was issued by a D.C. Superior Court Judge for Young on the charge of armed robbery. Young was later placed on D.C.’s Most Wanted List for this crime.

On March 15, 2013, members of the D.C. Superior Court Warrant Squad developed information and located Young in the 600 block of 46th Place Southeast. As deputies pulled into the area, known as Simple City, Young ran and a foot pursuit ensued. Deputies chased Young into the apartment complex and observed him running into one of the apartments. Deputies were able to gain entry into the apartment where they encountered four individuals to include Young. Young was arrested on the warrant and later turned over to Metropolitan Police Department.

During a search for Young in the apartment, deputies discovered a firearm, a 9MM Ruger, as well as narcotics. The other three individuals in the apartment at the time of the arrest were taken into custody. One individual was arrested on an open warrant for weapons out of Prince George’s County, Maryland, as well as an open D.C. Superior Court warrant. A third individual was arrested on an open D.C. Superior Court warrant. Metropolitan Police Department charged all four individuals with the firearm and narcotics found at the scene.
