Burlington, VT - The U.S. Marshals
Service Violent Offender Task Force (VVOTF) has arrested a Vermont fugitive
who was wanted for Aggravated Assault and Robbery with a Weapon.
Kevin “Buster” Beaupre, 57, was arrested on Friday morning, February 8, 2013
in Charlotte, Vermont when located by Deputy U.S. Marshals and Vermont State
Troopers. Beaupre had been on the run since May 2012 after being convicted
and awaiting sentencing for Assault and Robbery with a Weapon. The above
charges stem from a 2010 incident in South Burlington, Vermont where Beaupre
entered a dwelling and robbed the resident at gunpoint.
Beaupre is no stranger to Law Enforcement, Beaupre’s criminal history
includes convictions for Domestic Assault, Burglary, Breaking and Entering,
Grand Larceny and Federal Cocaine Distribution.
Beaupre was arrested and brought to Vermont Superior Court, Criminal
Division where he was held for a lack of 100,000.00 bail.
Beaupre was listed as one of the U.S. Marshal’s District of Vermont 5 most
wanted fugitives. The arrest was a result of a culmination of investigative
efforts by the U.S. Marshals VVOTF, the Vermont State Police and the South
Burlington Police Department.
