Burlington, VT - The U.S. Marshals
Service Vermont Violent Offender Task Force (VVOTF) has arrested a Franklin
County man who was wanted for an aggravated assault which occurred on
Intervale Avenue in Burlington, VT.
Connor J. Bushell, 22, was arrested on January 18, 2013 at his home in
Fletcher, Vermont by Deputy U.S. Marshals and a University of Vermont Police
Department Task Force Officer. On December 20, 2012, an arrest warrant was
issued for Bushell by the Vermont Superior Court in Chittenden County for
his involvement with an aggravated assault. Bushell and another suspect used
a metal pipe to attack a male on Intervale Avenue in the Old North End of
Burlington, VT on December 9, 2012. The male victim was subsequently taken
to Fletcher Allen where he underwent lengthy medical attention for his
substantial injuries.
Bushell was taken to the Chittenden Regional Correction Facility and held on
a $25,000 bail.
The arrest was a result of a culmination of investigative efforts by the
Burlington Police Department and the U.S. Marshals VVOTF.
During fiscal year 2011, U.S. Marshals nationally arrested more than 36,200
federal fugitives, and USMS led task forces arrested 86,400 state and local
fugitives. Additionally, U.S. Marshals apprehended 12,144 sex offenders.
