Aransas Pass, TX – On December 04, 2012 the Gulf Coast Violent Offender and Fugitive Task Force (GCVOFTF) arrested Jonathan Crane (19). Crane is accused of conducting a “home invasion” style robbery in San Juan County, New Mexico. Crane was wanted for Conspiracy to Commit Kidnapping and Armed Robbery. With information provided by the U.S. Marshal’s Las Vegas division the GCVOFTF found Crane in a home on 100 block of Wendi Lane in Aransas Pass. Crane was taken to the Aransas County Jail on a $100,000 bond and is awaiting extradition back to New Mexico.

The Gulf Coast Violent Offender Fugitive Task Force is a team comprised of law enforcement officers from the U.S. Marshals, Corpus Christi Police Department, Nueces and Victoria Counties Sheriff’s Departments, and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice – Office of Inspector General. The task force objective is to seek out and arrest violent criminals, gang members, and sex offenders. U.S. Marshals-led district task forces arrested 86,704 state and local fugitives in FY 2012, clearing approximately 114,311 state and local felony warrants.
