Austin,
TX – Leslie A. Lloyd, 46, of Binghamton, New York was arrested this
morning at approximately 8:00 a.m., without incident by the Lone Star
Fugitive Task Force in the 2800 block of Wells Branch Parkway, in Austin.
Lloyd was the subject of a sex abuse investigation by the Binghamton Police
Department in upstate New York. The allegations are based upon a complaint
alleging Lloyd engaged in Sexual Abuse in the 1st Degree from August of 2009
through August of 2011 in the City of Binghamton where he subjected a female
less than nine years old to sexual contact.
The U.S. Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force
conducted a local investigation which determined Lloyd relocated to Austin
in the past year. The Austin-based task force established surveillance on
Wells Branch Parkway, an apartment complex Lloyd likely had moved to
recently. Lloyd was observed departing from an apartment and was quickly
surrounded and taken into custody.
Robert R. Almonte, United States Marshal for the Western District of Texas
states, “The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force will continue to pursue fugitives
who flee from their criminal actions and we will continue to seek out those
that victimize our children.”
Lloyd was transported to the Travis County Sheriff and will remain in
custody pending his extradition to Broome County, Binghamton, New York.
