Washington, DC – A
sex offender wanted on an outstanding United States Parole Commission
warrant for violating his conditions of release has been arrested by a team
of U.S. Marshals in Washington, D.C.
Scott Breeze was being sought on a warrant issued in Washington D.C.
charging him with violating his conditions of release by having contact with
minors. Breeze is accused of attending the Lorton Great Escape Prison to
Park event on September 15, 2012. This event comprised of family friendly
activities and children’s games.
U.S. Marshals acted immediately upon receiving the warrant and arrested
Breeze without incident. U.S. Marshal for the District of Columbia Edwin
Sloane stated, “I’m extremely proud of the diligence and action taken by my
Deputy Marshals in apprehending the fugitive in a timely manner”. Breeze is
currently held at the D.C. Jail pending a United States Parole Commission
hearing.
Annually, investigations carried by the U.S. Marshals result in the
apprehension of approximately 34,000 federal fugitives. More federal
fugitives are arrested by the Marshals than all other federal agencies
combined.
