Marshals Service is asking for the public’s assistance in locating one of
the Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders who may be in the Springfield, Ohio
area. Jimmy Ray McMillan is a convicted sex offender who is wanted by the
Texas Department of Public Safety for Failure to Register as a sex offender.
Jimmy Ray McMillan is from Dallas, Texas and in 1988 he sexually assaulted a
nine year old female whom he was babysitting. He was arrested and
subsequently convicted in 1990 and later released on parole in 1994. In June
of 2011, McMillan moved from his residence in Texas and his current
whereabouts are unknown. On March 28, 2012 a warrant was issued for failure
to comply with the sex offender registration requirements.
Tips led investigators to the 200 Block of N. Shaffer Street in Springfield,
Ohio, but unfortunately McMillan had moved out of the residence. McMillan is
known to have asthma and breathing issues and may have received medical
treatment in the Springfield area from November 2011 through May 2012. A
reward of up to $3000 is being offered by the
Texas Department of Safety for
information leading to the arrest of McMillan. Anyone with information is
asked to contact the Dayton office of the United States Marshals Service
