Lafayette, LA – The Lafayette Police Department and The U.S. Marshals Violent Offender Task Force are seeking assistance and information from the public as to Carl J. Phillips’s location. Phillips is wanted for 2nd Degree Murder that took place on July 28, 2012 on the 600 block of Goldman Street. Phillips shot the victim in the chest once then fled the scene in a gold colored vehicle.

The victim was later transported to Lafayette General Hospital where the victim was listed as critical. On July 29, 2012, the victim died as a result of the gunshot wound.

Phillips is to be considered armed and dangerous. The U.S. Marshals are encouraging the public to call with any information that can assist in finding and arresting Phillips.
