Honolulu, HI – On Thursday, August 09, 2012 at approximately 1:00 pm, the U.S. Marshals Hawaii Fugitive Task Force located and apprehended James K. Gahler, Jr. without incident in Waikiki by Deputy U.S. Marshals and Hawaii State Sheriffs. After eluding authorities for 3 days, 38 year-old Gahler Jr. was wanted for Escape. Gahler was being held at Mahoney Hale Residential Re-Entry Center when he willfully failed to return to the institutional facility Monday morning within the time prescribed by the facility.
