Dayton, OH – The Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team
(SOFAST) and Acting
United States Marshal Patrick Sedoti for the Southern District of Ohio announced
today that Jeffrey Spicer was arrested this morning in New Weston, Ohio (Darke
County).
The SOFAST team received a request from the New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task
Force for assistance in locating and apprehending Spicer after information was
received that he had fled New England and had been hiding out with family
members in Ohio. Spicer had warrants entered into the system charging him with 2
Counts of Aggravated Felonious Sexual Assault of a minor and 2 additional counts
of Attempted Aggravated Sexual Assault of a minor between the ages of 13 and 16.
These offenses are alleged to have happened between April and August 2011 in New
Hampshire
In the early morning hours of June 27, 2012 SOFAST traveled to New Weston and
developed a description of Spicer’s vehicle. Spicer was located in that vehicle
in New Weston and a felony stop was conducted on him. Spicer was taken into
custody without further incident and booked into the Darke County Jail. He will
have further court proceedings there before being extradited back to New
Hampshire.
U.S. Marshals are the nation’s primary fugitive hunting organization and
captures more fugitives each year than all other law enforcement agencies
combined.
