Milwaukee, WI – Kevin A. Carr, United States Marshal for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, announced the arrest of fugitive Marcus Taylor. The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force and Louisville Metro Police Department took Taylor into custody late last night after a brief struggle at a Wal-Mart Store. Taylor was wanted by the Racine Police Department for Repeated Sexual Assault of a Minor, and by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections for Parole Violation. Marshal Carr stated that “catching this alleged sex-offender was one of our top priorities in order to protect the public in both Wisconsin, Kentucky and anywhere else he may have gone”.

After the Racine Police Department started looking for Taylor, Detective Hanns Freidel contacted the Fugitive Task Force in Milwaukee for assistance. U.S. Marshals were able to develop information that Taylor had fled to Tennessee where he has numerous family and friends. Numerous leads worked over the last several months led to last night’s arrest. Taylor is now awaiting extradition from Kentucky to Wisconsin.
