Roswell, NM – On October 31, 2011, United States Marshals
in Roswell, NM arrested another New Mexico’s Most Wanted fugitive last night
during the trick or treat hours. Deputy Marshals responded to the 300 block of
W. Matthews in reference to information received from a credible source about
violent gang fugitive Daniel Jojola. A team of law enforcement officers made up
of Marshals, Roswell Police Officers, Chaves County Metro Narcotics Unit, and
Special Agents from the FBI and ATF, and New Mexico State Probation and Parole,
surrounded the residence where Jojola was staying. When law enforcement officers
made their presence known at the front door, Jojola attempted to flee out the
rear of the residence. Jojola was taken into custody and found in possession of
methamphetamine and a 9mm handgun. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms
are pursuing new Federal charges on Jojola. Additional information about the U.S. Marshals Service can be found at http://www.usmarshals.gov. ####
