| Man Wanted in Atmore Homicide Captured by U.S. Marshals |
|
Pensacola, FL – The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force (FRFTF)
in Pensacola joined together with the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force (GCRFTF)
from Mobile to capture a man who is accused of shooting and killing another man
in Atmore, AL. Antonio Alberto Crenshaw, 29, was apprehended at about 1:30 a.m.
this morning by the U.S. Marshal Task Forces along with task force officers from
Mobile and Pensacola at a room at the Red Roof Inn located on the 7300 Block of
Plantation Road. The GCRFTF called the Pensacola Task Force late Monday night to
seek assistance when they had learned that Crenshaw may be in their area.
Several hours after the two Marshals Task Forces met they were able to confirm
that Crenshaw was in fact staying at the hotel. Crenshaw, aka “Ton-Ton” was
arrested without incident and charged as a fugitive from justice will be held on
those charges. Eventually Crenshaw will be extradited back to Escambia County,
AL where he will face the homicide charge. Crenshaw is accused of an early morning murder last Thursday when Atmore Police responded to the 190 Block of Maxwell Street just before 1 a.m. There authorities found 23-year old Christopher Payne Andrews, not far from his vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene as the result of multiple gunshot wounds. Additional information about the U.S. Marshals Service can be found at http://www.usmarshals.gov ####
