Wanted - Sex Offender

Dayton, OH – The Texas Lone Star Fugitive Task Force and the Southern Ohio United States Marshals Service Sex Offender Investigations Bureau is requesting assistance with the following investigation.

Joseph Michael Hall is a convicted sex offender wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service for Failure to Register as a sex offender. He is also wanted by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office for failing to register and was most recently indicted by the Montgomery County Ohio Grand Jury for Rape of a child under the age of 13.

Hall has the following prior convictions:

Aggravated Robbery and Felony Assault: State of Ohio – June 1992
Attempted Manslaughter – State of Utah: October 1998
Corruption of a Minor (2 counts): State of Ohio - January 2002 – Victim was juvenile Female

Hall was believed to be in the San Antonio area and had advertised his services as a handyman, on Craigslist. He uses the name of Michael and is advertising his business under the name of “MJ’s Remodeling and Repair”. Hall had been in the San Antonio area for the past several months. It appears he has fled Texas and may have returned to Ohio.

Obviously, the last thing we want is for Hall to be working inside any home where young children are present.

Hall has the following identifiable tattoos:

1) Tattoo: Left arm – Leopard with Lion
2) Tattoo: Upper Right Arm – two hearts with the names of “Tiffany” and “Heather”

The United States Marshals Service is requesting assistance from the public with any information that may lead to the location of Hall. A USMS wanted poster for Hall has been posted on

Hall has a history of committing violent offenses and we are asking the public not to approach or engage with the fugitive but to direct all calls to 911 and United States Marshals Service at (937) 225-2917.
