| United States Marshal for the Eastern District of Wisconsin announced the arrest of fugitive Donald Franklin Jr. |

MILWAUKEE – Kevin A. Carr, United States Marshal for
the Eastern District of Wisconsin, announced the arrest of fugitive Donald Franklin Jr.. Investigations in the
Southern District of Indiana and in the Northern District of Georgia placed Franklin at his
grandmother’s residence in Milwaukee. Surveillance by the Fugitive Task
Force confirmed Franklin’s presence today at the residence. As a result, investigators
made entry and took him into custody. Franklin was wanted out of Fulton County, Gerogia on 16
counts of 1st Degree Attempted Homicide, 1st Degree Cruelty to Children, Aggravated Assault
and Aggravated Battery. The charges stem from an incident in which Franklin
allegedly beat a young child. The victim of the alleged offense is Franklin’s 3 year old
daughter, who is still in a hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.
Franklin is currently housed in the Milwaukee County jail awaiting extradition
to Georgia.
