San
Antonio, TX – The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force along with DHS ICE ended
the flight of 24 year old Miguel Angel Rivera today in the 400 block of West
Mayfield after a brief struggle and a taser deployment.
Rivera was wanted in Webb County for Failure to Appear on a Kidnapping
charge stemming from an incident in 2009. Rivera is a self-proclaimed Zeta
gang member and an illegal alien. He faces additional Immigration
Violations.
Acting on information provided by the USMS Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task
Force out of Laredo, LSFTF members made entry into Rivera’s San Antonio
residence. Rivera was eventually found hiding behind a “false wall”. When
ordered to surrender, Rivera instead chose to resist.
Robert R. Almonte, United States Marshal for the Western District of Texas
said, “Our network of Fugitive Task Forces throughout the United States
allows us to aggressively pursue fugitives no matter where they are from or
where they go.”
