San Francisco, CA - United States Marshal Federico Rocha of the Northern District of California announces the arrest of Alan May. On June 4, 2010 May, 45 years old, was arrested in San Francisco, CA on the run from Texas.  May is wanted by the U.S. Secret Service for over $7 million in a fraud scheme.

Allegedly, May set up a fraudulent ponzi scheme in the oil and gas business and assumed multiple identities to evade apprehension.

The U.S. Marshals Service Task Force took May into custody without incident near Mason and O’Farrell Street. He was booked into the Alameda County Jail and scheduled to appear before a U.S. Magistrate judge.

This arrest was a result of the combined efforts of the Dallas Fort Worth Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team, U.S. Secret Service and the Northern District of California Fugitive Task Force.

The U.S. Marshals Service have developed close working relationships with other law enforcement agencies on fugitive matters, and it has a history of providing assistance, expertise and training to agencies on the federal, state, local and international levels.
