| U.S. Marshals Arrest a Subject Wanted for Sexual Assault of a Minor |

Wilmington, DE – The United States Marshals have arrested a Claymont man who was wanted for a sexual assault that occurred in Miami, Florida. Richard N. Wetmore, 28 of 19 Manor Ave., Claymont, DE was wanted for sexual battery on a minor in Miami - Dade County, Florida. The offense happened in March of 1997 on SW 24th Street Miami, Florida. The Marshals Fugitive Task Force went to Wetmore’s residence at approximately 7 am this morning where he was arrested without incident. Wetmore has waived extradition through the Justice of the Peace Court in Delaware and is incarcerated at the Howard R. young Correctional Institute pending being transferred to Florida.
