On February
14, 2010, students of the USMS/G.R.E.A.T. (Gang Resistance Education and
Training) Program in New Orleans were proudly featured in the Bacchus
Parade during Mardi Gras. Twenty outstanding students were selected to
participate based on their accomplishments achieved during the G.R.E.A.T.
lessons taught at the MLK Jr. Charter School. These students best
exemplified the lessons taught to them by the Deputies during the G.R.E.A.T.
Program (leadership, conflict resolution, anger management). |
