San Diego, CA – The United States Marshals Service San Diego Fugitive Task Force has joined the manhunt for Jesus Alejandro Arteaga. U.S. Marshals have filed a federal charge of unlawful flight to avoid prosecution for Arteaga. Arteaga is wanted by the Chula Vista Police Department for the murder of Maribel Arteaga, a Customs and Border Protection officer, in front of her two children.

It is believed Arteaga is hiding out in the Sanchez Taboada neighborhood of Tijuana. Mexico. Arteaga may be driving a blue or white van with Baja plate BCW-66-27.

U.S. Marshals are offering up to a $5000 reward for information leading to the capture of Jesus “Alex” Arteaga.
