U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force Arrests 10 in Perry, Florida

Perry, FL - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force had a busy morning in Perry, Florida during a street level roundup of several locally wanted fugitives. All told, Task Force members arrested 10 individuals wanted on a wide array of charges from Lewd and Lascivious Sexual Battery of a Child to Violation of Probation on Narcotic Convictions. Task Force members got off to an early start when they responded to the 500 block of Warner Ave to search for a Brandon Alexander a documented gang member, who had multiple warrants for Battery, Possession of Marijuana, Resisting Arrest, and Violation of Probation for Sale of Cocaine. Task Force officers had information that Alexander, a 19 year old Perry native, was currently living at Apartment E8 in the Tidewater Apartment complex. As law enforcement officers made entry into the residence, Alexander fled through an attic access and was eventually cornered and subdued with a Taser by Task Force members in the attic of an adjoining apartment. Meanwhile across town, a second team of Task Force Officers responded to the 500 block of Homer J. Smith Avenue searching for Ronnell Walker who was being sought by the Perry Police Department for the offenses of Sale of Cocaine, Battery, and Driving with a Suspended License. As Task Force Officers arrived at the residence, two men were seen running from the rear of the home and where eventually captured after a short foot pursuit. Arrested where 22 year old Johnny Lee Munningham Jr and 29 year old Leon Robert Smith Jr. both of whom where charged with narcotics violations after marijuana and cocaine where recovered from the pair.

Other arrestee’s from the morning operation included 19 year old Brychoski Jackson wanted for Lewd and Lascivious Sexual Battery on a Child, False Imprisonment, and Battery. Jackson was arrested by Task Force Officers after crawling inside a bedroom closet in order to evade arrest. Christopher Kinsey, 23, charged with Violation of Probation on Leaving the Scene of an Accident and Driving with Suspended License, Lealer Sneed, 24, Violation of Probation on Possession of Narcotics Paraphernalia and Petit Theft, Richard Clark, 49, Violation of Probation for Domestic Battery (2 Counts), Alberta Robinson, 43, Fraud, Marcus Hamilton, 35, Violation of Probation Driving with Suspended License, and Sonya Johnson, 32, Violation of Probation for Possession of Cocaine. Johnson was located in the 2200 block of Bernard Johnson Road while hiding inside a false compartment located in her bathroom closet.

U.S. Marshal Dennis Williamson and Perry Police Department Chief of Police Vern Clark commended the successful roundup and pointed out that cooperation between Federal, State, and Local law enforcement agencies helps to secure the safety of our communities by removing these fugitives from our streets. The US Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force is comprised of law enforcement officers from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office, Leon County Sheriff’s Office, Leon County State Attorney’s Office, Perry Police Department, Tallahassee Police Department, and the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office.
