Sexual Assault Suspect Captured in Mexico
Suspect allegedly sexually assaulted a child

San Francisco, CA – United States Marshal Federico Rocha of the Northern District of California announces the arrest of Fermin Pucheta-Temich. On December 4, Pucheta-Temich, 32, was extradited from Mexico City on a warrant of arrest out of San Francisco for multiple federal charges of sexual assault with a minor.

On December 16, 2008, Pucheta-Temich was at home supervising three children under the age of 10. While one of the children was in the bathroom, Pucheta-Temich allegedly broke into the bathroom and sexually assaulted the victim. Pucheta-Temich fled to Mexico during the investigation of this case. After his return to the U.S., Pucheta-Temich was booked into the San Francisco County Jail and is awaiting trial with a $2 million dollar bail.

“This arrest was a result of a joint initiative combining the U.S. Marshals Northern California Fugitive task Force, Agencia Federal de Investigation, and the San Francisco Police Department,” said U.S. Marshal Rocha.
