WASHINGTON
- Tim Williams, 23-year veteran of the U.S. Marshals Service, is sworn in as
Director of INTERPOL-United States National Central Bureau (USNCB) by
Attorney General Eric Holder today in the Department of Justice's Great
Hall. Williams, who will serve a three-year term as the head of USNCB, the
U.S representative to INTERPOL, will be responsible for overseeing
INTERPOL-related activities between the United States and each of 187 other
member nations, as well as coordinating with more than 18,000 federal,
state, local, and tribal law enforcement agencies throughout the United
States.Williams began his career with
the USMS in 1986. During his career, he served in many challenging
positions including as Chief of Technical Operations Group, Commander of the
NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force and as an inspector with the Special
Operations Group where he was selected to help establish the USMS field
office in Jamaica. |
