San
Antonio, TX – The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) arrested San Antonio
Ten Most Wanted 31 year old Lucio Blake last night on Aggravated Sexual
Assault of a Child charges. This past October multiple law enforcement agencies partnered up to do compliance checks of sex offenders followed by a pre-halloween enforcement sweep for those wanted on sex offenses. At the conclusion of the Operation a “10 Most Wanted” list was generated by the San Antonio Police Department and Blake’s photo was the first on the list which was aired by members of the media. This airing resulted in a tip being supplied to the FBI. The FBI in turn contacted the LSFTF and that information ultimately led to the arrest of Blake. Since the conclusion of the press conference, approximately a dozen more sex offenders have been arrested not only in San Antonio but throughout Texas and the United States. Bexar County Criminal District Attorney Susan Reed said, “This is how our office operates in Bexar County. We team up to tackle crime and this includes the media and our citizens. This arrest is a direct result of that partnership.” The United States Marshal for the Western District of Texas LaFayette Collins said, “There is not a more worthy cause than to make sure sex offenders are where they are supposed to be. Our children and our communities are at risk when sex offenders are unaccounted for.” Participating agencies in this arrest:
