Pensacola, FL - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office Gang Unit worked together to capture a local rap artist who is wanted in connection with an armed home invasion. The Task Force and the Gang Unit caught up with suspect Antonio Dean aka “Lue Kane” late this afternoon in the city limits of Pensacola, after just missing him early Friday morning in the Lincoln Park section of Escambia County. Dean, 22, is wanted on a warrant from the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office charging him with Aggravated Battery Using a Deadly Weapon, Possession of a Firearm by a Delinquent Act Felon Firearm or Concealed and Home Invasion/Robbery. According to the Sheriff’s Office warrant affidavit, on August 5 Dean and two other suspects clad in black masks broke into a house on the 2900 Block of West Cross Street in Pensacola after yelling “Police, open the door!” All three were armed with guns, one which appeared to be an AK-47 assault rifle. The report also says that Dean allegedly was also armed with a stun gun and was using it on one of the homeowners demanding money. The Task Force recently began working trying to capture Dean with help from the ATF, FDLE and the Pensacola Police Department as well. Around 4 o’clock today the Task Force
arrested Dean at an apartment complex off Underwood Drive in Pensacola
without incident. Another person traveling with Dean was detained at the
time but was later released. Marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found
in a car they were in but neither man has been charged at this time. In
addition, several spent bullet casings for a .38 caliber handgun were
also found in the vehicle. Dean was booked into the Escambia County Jail
on a no bond warrant. ### |
