|The Lone Star Fugitive Task force Arrests Murder Suspect From Thomas County, Georgia in Unsolved 1989 Case|
The United States Marshals Service’s Lone Star Fugitive Task
Force arrested Georgia Homicide Suspect Jerry Robert Hobbs at approximately 5:45 pm in San Antonio near I-10 and Wurzbach at the
Popeye’s Restaurant as he was approaching his van.
In 1989 it is believed that Hobbs former girlfriend, Dianne Quinsenberry was removed from a Battered Women’s Shelter in Cairo, Ga. It is alleged that Quinsenberry was beaten to death although her body has never been recovered. Recently Investigator’s with the Thomas County Georgia Sheriff’s Office developed evidence that caused a warrant to be issued for Hobbs.
Information was developed by Investigators assigned to the US Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force that Hobbs was in San Antonio and assistance was requested from the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force to locate and arrest Hobbs.
The United States Marshal for the Western District of Texas LaFayette Collins said, “This is a twenty year old unsolved homicide case that resulted in a multi-state coordinated effort to locate and arrest this suspect. The members of the LSFTF and the other U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Forces around the United States prove their worth and value everyday by coordinating these investigations and arrests.”
