Capital Murder Suspects Tracked Down to Louisiana

Shreveport, LA - Wednesday, April 8, 2009, at approximately 9:30am, Deputy U.S. Marshals and Strike Team Officers of the United States Marshals Dallas Fort Worth Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team, and the United States Marshals Western Louisiana Fugitive Task Force, Shreveport, Louisiana, arrested Tummy Crenshaw and Gary Hogg at 4016 Walker Street, Shreveport. Crenshaw and Hogg were wanted by the Dallas Police Department on charges of capital murder stemming from a robbery and murder of the victim on March 23, 2009. Two other defendants, Quaci Bell and Markivey Watkins, have already been arrested on the same charges and are in custody. At the location where Crenshaw and Hogg were arrested, officers located a semi-automatic handgun that may have been used as the murder weapon in the offense. Both were booked into the Caddo Parish Jail pending extradition back to Dallas.

Every year, the U.S. Marshals and its associated Task Forces throughout the country arrest more fugitives than all federal law enforcement agencies combined. Last year, this number was more than 73,000 state and local fugitives and more than 36,000 federal fugitives.
