Suspect in Child Rape Case Captured by U.S. Marshals Task Force in Ft. Walton Beach

FT. WALTON BEACH, FL - The Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested a man wanted on a warrant charging him with two counts of Sexual Battery on a Victim Under the Age of 12 and two counts of Lewd and Lascivious Behavior/Molestation on a Victim Under 12 Years of Age. The fugitive, Pedro Rolando Andrade-Romero was arrested without incident last night at a mobile home park around 8 p.m. by the Marshals Task Force. The warrant issued by the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office charges that Andrade-Romero had allegedly had molested a young girl several times during late 2008, as well as performing other lewd sexual acts of conduct during that time. Police reports indicate that the molestation took place in Navarre, FL.

Santa Rosa Sheriff’s Office investigators assigned to the Marshals Task Force in Pensacola had developed leads that Andrade-Romero may have been in Baton Rouge, LA. The Middle Louisiana Fugitive Task Force located in Baton Rouge worked around the clock to determine that the fugitive was definitely back in the Ft. Walton Beach area. It was their investigation that led the Pensacola Task Force to the exact location where he could be found.
