The Bexar County Sheriff's Office and the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force
Partner to Capture Wanted Fugitive

San Antonio, TX – The United States Marshals Service’s Lone Star Fugitive Task Force partnered with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office and other task force member agencies in the hunt and capture of 28 year old Reginald Adams. Adams was arrested in the 500 block of Pennystone in San Antonio at approximately 8:15 Tuesday evening.

On Jan 17, 2009, Adams was erroneously released from custody after a number of charges (including a murder charge) had been dismissed. Adams now faces the possibility of an additional escape charge in addition to the 12 year sentence he was already serving. Members of the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force spent many days conducting both interviews and surveillance that culminated in his capture.

The United States Marshal for the Western District of Texas LaFayette Collins said, “This is what we do best. We find people that don’t want to be found and that go to extreme measures to avoid capture. Our continued success is due to the dedicated and talented men and women of the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force that will not give up, no matter the difficulties faced.”
