Cincinnati, OH - On 01/30/09 at
approximately 8:30 am, the Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST),
arrested Tremell Jones a.k.a. “Jelly” (DOB 08/03/79) at his girlfriend’s
house at 1 Dorothy Court in Lockland, Ohio. Jones is wanted by the Fairfield
Police Department for a home invasion robbery that took place in August
2008. Jones has an extensive criminal history including numerous arrests and
convictions for assaults and drug trafficking. After following numerous leads, SOFAST developed information that Jones was staying with an associate on Dorothy Court in Lockland, Ohio. Jones is being detained at the Hamilton County Justice Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. SOFAST is a multi-jurisdictional task force comprised of the U.S. Marshals, Cincinnati Police Department, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, Lockland Police Department, Drug Enforcement Administration, Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms, Warren Co. Prosecutors Office, U.S. Department of Agriculture OIG, U.S. Attorney’s Office, Butler County Sheriff’s Office and Ohio Adult Parole Authority. U.S. Marshals are the nation’s primary fugitive hunting organization and capture more federal fugitives each year than all other law enforcement agencies combined.
