Hamilton is on the G8 Wanted Child Sex Offender list, making him one of the 10 most wanted child sex offenders in the country. August 25, 2010 - Carroll Allbery, Acting U.S. Marshal for the Northern District of Oklahoma, joined by Chief Chuck Jordan of the Tulsa Police Department, announce the culmination of a strategic gang enforcement operation that removed 163 violent gang members and gang member associates from the streets of the Tulsa metropolitan area. Dubbed Operation Triple Beam, the goal of the operation was to combat the crime and violence associated with gang activity in the Tulsa, Oklahoma, area. The two-week operation represents the commitment of law enforcement to reduce violent crime through multi-agency gang enforcement operations. August 24, 2010 - Members of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) and U.S. Marshals New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested fugitive Dean Birdsall, age 66, in a suburb of Rochester, New York. Birdsall was wanted by the Richland County Sheriff’s Office for failure to register as a sex offender and also by the Ohio Adult Parole Authority for parole violation. August 19, 2010 - U.S. Marshal Peter J. Elliott announces the apprehension of fugitive sex offender Jeff Withrow in Rand, West Virginia. Withrow was wanted by the Medina County Sheriff’s Office for failure to register as a sex offender and the Ohio Adult Parole Authority for escape. The U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force was requested to assist in locating and apprehending fugitive Withrow on the outstanding warrants. August 16, 2010 - One of the Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police Department Most Wanted was arrested by the United States Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police Department (SCMPD) K-9 Unit on August 16, 2010. Ronnie Lee Wilson, 21, was wanted by the SCMPD for murder. August 13, 2010 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office hit the streets of Pensacola this week capturing elusive fugitives and thwarting some criminals. The Task Force worked together with the Sheriff’s Office targeting violent fugitives trying to help make the people in the community feel a little safer. August 13, 2010 - Wanted fugitives John Wilson, age 28, and Robert “Bobby” Cruz, age 43, were both added to the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force’s Most Wanted “Dangerous Dozen” list which was released on Wednesday to the public. Within 48 hours of the release, both are in custody due to tips received from the public. August 12, 2010 - Two men wanted by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) and the Wrightsville, Georgia Police Department were arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, the GBI, the Wrightsville Police Department, the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department, the Laurens County Sheriff’s Department and the Georgia Department of Corrections K-9 teams. Jarvis Miller and Demarcio Williams were wanted by the Wrightsville Police Department and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for the offense of murder. August 12, 2010 - Effective today, the public affairs officer for the ASP Kingman Escapees Task Force will prepare a daily briefing at 10:00 am PST to provide the latest information available. The briefing for Thursday, August 12, 2010 is as follows: Task Force officers continue to focus investigative efforts in western Arkansas, western Montana, and in various other locations around the United States. The last credible sighting of McCluskey and Welch was August 6, 2010 in Billings Montana. August 11, 2010 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force along with DHS ICE ended the flight of 24 year old Miguel Angel Rivera today in San Antonio after a brief struggle and a taser deployment. Rivera was wanted in Webb County for Failure to Appear on a Kidnapping charge stemming from an incident in 2009. Rivera is a self-proclaimed Zeta gang member and an illegal alien. He faces additional Immigration Violations. August 11, 2010 - U.S. Marshal Michael R. Regan announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service arrested Trinity Payne near Hazleton, Pennsylvania. Payne had been sought by Illinois authorities since June 2010. It is alleged Payne engaged in the violent sexual assault of his ex-girlfriend. The Macon County Sheriffs Office conducted the investigation. As a result, an arrest warrant was issued in Macon County, Illinois, charging Payne with multiple counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Assault and other related offenses. August 11, 2010 - Information developed indicates John Charles McCluskey and Casslyn Welch have changed their appearance. McCluskey has black hair and a black beard. Welch has dyed her hair blonde. Investigators are concentrating their search in Western Montana and Southwest Canada. August 09, 2010 - On August 3, 2010, Deputy United States Marshals (DUSMs) from the Eastern District of Louisiana (E/LA) participated in the National Night Out Against Crime sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch. District Deputies covered over eight local Night Out Against Crime events across the district, including events in New Orleans, Slidell, Algiers, and Amite. August 09, 2010 - An escaped murderer from an Arizona prison was apprehended this morning in Park County, Wyo. Tracy Province, 42, was arrested today at 6:20 a.m., in Meeteetse, Wyo., by U.S. Marshals and the Yellowstone County Sheriff’s Department after being observed walking through town. August 08, 2010 - Recent information developed indicates the prison escapees and their accomplice may be in the Yellowstone Park area. John Charles McCluskey, age 45, Tracy Province, age 42, and Daniel Renwick, age 35, escaped from the Arizona State Prison at Kingman on July 30, 2010. Casslyn Welch, age 43, is believed to have assisted them in the escape. On August 1, 2010, Daniel Renwick was arrested in Rifle, Colorado after a brief car chase and firing a weapon at a pursuing police vehicle. August 06, 2010 - A man wanted by the Bay County Sheriff’s Department in Panama City, Florida was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force. Johnathan Everett Gibson, 30, was wanted by the Bay County Sheriff’s Department in Panama City Florida for failure to appear on two warrants, one for Aggravated Battery/Domestic Violence and the other for Leaving the Scene of an Accident with damage. August 05, 2010 - A man wanted by the Georgia Department of Correction was arrested by the arrested by the United States Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force on August 4, 2010. Robert Baker Jr, 30, was wanted by the Georgia Department of Corrections for escape. August 05, 2010 - The U.S. Marshals Service is providing the following information as clarification to recent national media stories about body scanners at security check points that have contained inaccurate information. It is important to note the U.S. Marshals Service and the Transportation Security Administration are two separate government agencies, working under two separate government departments. The U.S. Marshals Service is with the Department of Justice and the TSA is with the Department of Homeland Security. Neither agency can speak for the other. August 05, 2010 - Yesterday turned out to be the day that luck ran out for long time fugitive Leslie “Lucky” Johnson, wanted on a federal arrest warrant for failure to surrender to the Bureau of Prisons stemming from his 1991 federal drug case conviction. Johnson, age 52, was apprehended near Pittsburgh, PA by the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force after 19 long years on the run. August 04, 2010 - On August 3, 2010, United States Marshals arrested Mark White on a warrant charging him with murder. In 2008, White allegedly shot Jumar Joiner in Hartford, Connecticut. White has been a fugitive from justice since May of 2008 and was found living on General Arnold in southeast Albuquerque, NM. August 04, 2010 - Eric Timberman, the United States Marshal for the District of Puerto Rico, would like to announce that Janeth Valenzuela, wanted by the United States Marshals Service for Identity Theft and by the Phoenix, Arizona Police Department for Parental Abduction, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals led Puerto Rico Fugitive Task Force today. July 30, 2010 – Curtis Derrell Snerling of Detroit, Michigan was arrested this afternoon without incident by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force. Snerling was arrested at approximately 1:00 p.m., in eastern Travis County. Task Force officers were alerted to Snerling’s presence in the Austin area several days ago based upon an investigation conducted by the Michigan Fugitive Task Force based in Detroit. It is alleged, Snerling in June of 2010, abducted, bound, beat and sexually assaulted the victim over the course of a day. The victim was able to summon local police after her screams were heard by neighbors. July 28, 2010 - On July 27, 2010, United States Marshals, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Rio Rancho Police Department collaborated to bring down a stolen vehicle ring run by Mexican drug cartel member Hector Varela. Varela was wanted by the San Juan County Sheriff’s Department on charges of transferring or receiving a stolen vehicle and by the New Mexico State Police on charges of fraud. July 28, 2010 - Five deputy U.S. marshals wounded in the line of duty received U.S. Marshals Service Purple Heart awards from John Clark, director of the U.S. Marshals Service, at a ceremony here today. “Deputy marshals today, more than ever, are encountering dangerous and life-threatening situations,” said Clark. These men “stared danger in the face and did what is contrary to most ways of thinking. They subdued a violent criminal or stopped violent behavior while being wounded in the process.” July 26, 2010 - The U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force (GCRFTF), working in conjunction with investigators from the U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force (FRFTF) in Pensacola, FL arrested a man wanted by the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office, for Kidnapping/False Imprisonment and Felony Battery related to a domestic violence charge. William Andrew Pugliesi, 44, aka ‘Andy Rose’ was arrested at about 11:30 a.m. this morning by the U.S. Marshals GCRFTF in New Orleans. July 23, 2010 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested a man late this afternoon wanted by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department in Birmingham, AL who had been hiding in Pensacola for several months. Markies Terrell Cleveland, 23, who is wanted on a charge of Sex Offender Failure to Notify of Change of Residence, was arrested during a felony car stop in Pensacola, FL. July 22, 2010 - The U.S. Marshals Service recently participated in a worldwide manhunt for violent fugitives, providing investigative support to Interpol and Crime Stoppers International during Operation International Fugitive Round-up and Arrest - Red Notices also known as INFRA-RED 2010. Operation INFRA-RED 2010, a cooperative effort combining the resources of Interpol, CSI, the U.S. Marshals Service, the U.S. National Central Bureau (Interpol Washington) and other law enforcement agencies from 29 countries across six continents, produced one of the most successful international fugitive apprehension operation in Interpol history, officials said. July 21, 2010 - Statement on the transfer of Colton Harris-Moore earlier today - The following may be attributed directly to Jeff Carter, Chief of Public Affairs for the U.S. Marshals Service: Washington - “Colton Harris-Moore arrived in Seattle shortly after 1 p.m. Pacific time today. Harris-Moore was transferred from Miami to Seattle this morning by U.S. Marshals aboard a Justice Prisoner and Alien Transportation System aircraft. Upon arrival in Seattle, Harris-Moore was turned over to authorities with the SeaTac Federal Detention Center.” July 20, 2010 - U. S. Marshal Federico Rocha of the Northern District of California announced the arrest of Jason R. Brown. On July 14, Brown, 28, was arrested in Rio Dell. Brown was wanted for attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon in Del Norte County for the December 30, 2008 beating of James Craig at a temporary homeless shelter located at the Del Norte County Fairgrounds. July 19, 2010 - Sharon Cantrell was arrested in South Carolina this morning at 9:30 am. Cantrell has been a fugitive since 2006 from the Georgia Board of Probation & Parole. She was added to the Top 25 Most Wanted List for the state of Georgia on July 9th, 2010. Cantrell received a life sentence for drug and weapon offenses in 1991. Cantrell was paroled in 2005 and allegedly absconded supervision in 2006. July 14, 2010 - Wanted fugitives Samuel Jones and Herbert McCloud were arrested last night in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida by the U.S. Marshals Florida/Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force based on a request from the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force. Jones, and his cohort and half brother McCloud, were wanted as the primary suspects in the shooting of T.J. Simms, which was the result of an argument between the two parties, which left Simms in critical condition and currently paralyzed. July 13, 2010 - U.S. Marshal Michael R. Regan announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) arrested murder suspect Jamel Nelson in Scranton, PA. Nelson was being sought by authorities in Spotsylvania County, Virginia as a suspect in a late night shooting that occurred on March 10, 2010 in Fredericksburg. July 12, 2010 - Nasadeam Stewart of New Ellenton, South Carolina was arrested without incident in South Austin by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force. Stewart, along with Keith Antonio Williams and Kennard Thomas, also of New Ellenton, SC, was part of a trio charged two weeks ago by Aiken, South Carolina authorities with the alleged attempted murder, discharging a firearm into a dwelling, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime in Aiken. July 08, 2010 - The U.S. Marshals Service led an operation throughout June to ensure more than a thousand convicted and registered sex offenders who live, work, or attend school within the 33 counties comprising the Middle District of Pennsylvania (M/PA) were in compliance with the law. July 08, 2010 - On June 30th, U.S. Marshals and 84 state, local and federal law enforcement agencies wrapped up a month-long sex offender sweep called Operation Shepherd 2010, conducting unannounced sex offender compliance checks and searching for fugitive sex offenders throughout the state of Colorado, resulting in 152 arrests and 2,840 compliance checks. July 02, 2010 - U.S. Marshals Operation Intercept and Task Force Officers have been assisting South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED), 14th Circuit Solicitor’s Office, South Carolina Highway Patrol, & South Carolina Probation, Parole, & Pardon Services in arresting indicted Sand Hill and Dooley Hill Gang members in Walterboro, SC. July 02, 2010 - The U.S. Marshals are seeking information as to the location of twenty-eight year old Michael Blasingame. Blasingame fled the United States with his three year old son, Eitan sometime after March 18, 2008. Blasingame is charged federally in the Eastern District of Texas with International Parental Kidnapping and Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution. Blasingame is also wanted by the State of Texas in Collin County for Interference with a Child Custody Order. June 28, 2010 - U.S. Marshals Operation Intercept (OPIN) Fugitive Task Force arrested Bashi Ahmed Sorey on Friday June 24th, 2010 in South Carolina. Sorey is wanted for a New Jersey Parole Violation from October 20th, 2009 and an alleged Aggravated Assault with a Weapon Warrant on May 19th, 2009 from DeKalb County Georgia. The New York New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force (NYNJ RFTF) was assisting the New Jersey Parole Board in apprehension of Sorey when information obtained led them to SC. June 23, 2010 - Multiple Fugitives Arrested - On June 17th, 2010 Deputy U.S. Marshals and Task Force Officers arrested William Manning for an Alleged Aggravated Assault/Shooting out of Newark New Jersey. On June 9th, Deputy U.S. Marshals, Columbia Police Department Officers, and Richland County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Odell Johnson for an alleged Armed Robbery, Assault & Battery with Intent to Kill charge. On June 7th, Deputy U.S. Marshals and Wilson Police Department Officers arrested fugitives Daryl Len Farmer and Antonio Marquis Farmer in Columbia, SC. Both men are wanted in connection with an alleged triple shooting from Wilson, NC. June 23, 2010 - Trenton Roberts of New Iberia was arrested in New Iberia, LA. Roberts was Wanted by the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender and by Louisiana Probation and Parole for Probation Violation (Original Offense: Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile). Roberts Probation Warrant was dated July 8, 2008 and the search for him heated up when Roberts got away from officers and U.S. Marshals on Thursday, June 10th after he dove out of a window. June 18, 2010 - A 17 year old homicide suspect was arrested by the Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST). The teenage suspect was wanted for the fatal shooting of 22 year old Derrick Martin on June 17, 2010. The victim was shot to death on Goose Alley in Cincinnati’s Over-The-Rhine neighborhood. June 15, 2010 - An escaped prisoner was arrested today after an intensive investigation by a team of law enforcement officers led by the U.S. Marshals Service’s Southern Maine Violent Crimes Task Force. Wayne Collamore has been wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service for escape since May 28th when he walked away from a US Bureau of Prisons halfway house in Portland, ME. June 11, 2010 - Lawrence Bustos was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Southwest Investigative Fugitive Team (SWIFT) in southeast Albuquerque. Bustos has a number of charges ranging from Robbery, Burglary, Shooting at a Motor Vehicle, and Escape from Custody. Bustos has been featured as one of Albuquerque’s Most Wanted for several months and this month was elevated to Albuquerque’s number one property crime fugitive. June 11, 2010 - A man wanted by the Lee County, Virginia Sheriff’s Department was arrested by the United States Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force. Lawrence E. Saghy, 28, was wanted by the Lee County Sheriff’s Department in Jonesville, Virginia. Saghy is wanted in reference to an alleged rape that occurred in May of 2010 in Lee County Virginia. June 10, 2010 - David Rios-Rubio and Bulmaro Tellez-Escobedo, both of San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico were arrested without incident by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force. Rios-Rubio was arrested at approximately 6:30 p.m., in Georgetown, Texas and Tellez-Escobedo was arrested at approximately 8:00 p.m., also in Georgetown. Mexican authorities formally sought both fugitives arrest pursuant to provisional arrest warrants issued and unsealed by the United States District Courts in the Western District of Texas in San Antonio. June 10, 2010 - U.S. Marshals are offering a $2500 reward for information leading to the arrest of Napoleon Mbonyunkiza (aka Mbonyunkiza Napoleon). The Polk County District Court issued an arrest warrant for Mbonyunkiza after he failed to appear for a preliminary hearing on charges of Third-degree Sexual Abuse, Dependant Adult Abuse with Serious Injury, and Neglect or Abandonment of a Dependant Person. Mbonyunkiza is accused of sexually abusing an adult patient with disabilities while she was in his care at a private care facility in Des Moines. June 09, 2010 - A man wanted by the Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police Department (SCMPD) was arrested by the United States Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, SCMPD Trap Unit, and SCMPD K-9 Unit on June 19, 2010. Jamari Reynolds, 26, was wanted by the Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police Department for murder. June 08, 2010 - On Monday June 7th, 2010 U.S. Marshals Operation Intercept Columbia, SC arrested fugitives Daryl Len Farmer and Antonio Marquis Farmer. Both men are wanted in connection with an alleged triple shooting from Wilson, NC that happened on April 27th, 2010. Both men are charged with Attempted Murder and Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury. June 08, 2010 - Cathy J. Jones, Acting United States Marshal for the Southern District of Ohio announces the arrest of Joseph T. Cagle, a convicted sex offender, who fled New York and was found living in Dayton, Ohio. May is wanted by the U.S. Secret Service for over $7 million in a fraud scheme. Allegedly, May set up a fraudulent ponzi scheme in the oil and gas business and assumed multiple identities to evade apprehension. June 07, 2010 - U.S. Marshal Michael R. Regan announced today that U.S. Marshals arrested Gregory Duclaire and Whitney Lynn Sutton in Naples, Florida. Duclaire and Sutton were being sought on arrest warrants signed by Magisterial District Judge Richard P. Cashman in Berwick, Pennsylvania. June 04, 2010 - The United States Marshals have arrested a Claymont man who was wanted for a sexual assault that occurred in Miami, Florida. Richard N. Wetmore, 28, of Claymont, DE was wanted for sexual battery on a minor in Miami - Dade County, Florida. June 03, 2010 - The U.S. Marshals from Oxford, MS apprehended a Santa Rosa County man who had possibly fled the Pensacola area 8 years ago. John David Josey who has an outstanding warrant from the Sheriff’s Office in Santa Rosa for violation of probation for Possession of Marijuana, also has a violation of probation felony warrant from Escambia County, FL for Possession of Cocaine. Josey, 31, has actually been wanted since 2002. June 02, 2010 - 15 Most Wanted Capture - The U.S. Marshals Service announced today the capture Tuesday of convicted cop killer and child molester Paul Clouston in Merced, Calif., following a viewer tip to the America’s Most Wanted television program. A native of Pennsylvania, Clouston, 73, was added to the U.S. Marshals list of 15 most wanted fugitives Nov. 30, 2006. June 02, 2010 - A man wanted by the Rincon Police Department was arrested by the United States Marshals Service on June 1, 2010. Chris Todd Lowery, 45, was wanted by the Rincon Police Department on a warrant for Theft by Taking a Motor Vehicle in Rincon, Georgia. Lowery allegedly stole a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am belonging to Linda Schaffer. Lowery is also a person of interest/suspect in the death of Schaffer. June 01, 2010 - A man wanted by the Chatham County Sheriff’s Department was arrested by the United States Marshals Service Dallas Fort Worth Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team. Jose Jesus Flores, 22, was wanted by the Chatham County Sheriff’s Department on a warrant for Failure to Appear issued on May 25, 2010 in Savannah, Georgia. Flores was on bond for numerous charges to include Cruelty to Children, Family Violence Act Aggravated Assault, False Imprisonment, and two counts of Family Violence Act Battery. May 28, 2010 - A 17 year old homicide suspect was arrested by the Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST). The teenage suspect was wanted for the fatal stabbing of 26 year old Gavin Mays on May 27, 2010. May 28, 2010 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force in Pensacola arrested a Milton man who has been eluding law enforcement and the Marshals since February. Task Force Officers who were conducting surveillance observed John Irwin Lewis as a passenger in a car driven by a woman driving down Stewart Street in Milton. In July of 2009 a warrant was issued for Lewis' arrest in Santa Rosa County for methamphetamine related charges. May 28, 2010 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested an Armed Robbery suspect wanted out of California after a foot pursuit across Highway 29 in Pensacola. Larry Lightning, 30, is wanted in San Diego on a warrant that alleges he was the gunman in a 2007 robbery of a movie complex. May 27, 2010 - United States District Judge Jane Boyle sentenced Spencer Howard of Dallas to 51 months in federal prison, to be followed by lifetime supervision, for charges of failure to register as a sex offender. Under the recently in-acted Sex Offender Registration Notification Act (SORNA) of 2006, convicted sex offenders who fail to comply with state registration requirements can be prosecuted in federal court. May 27, 2010 - U.S. Marshal Peter J. Elliott announces the creation of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force’s Most Wanted list, nicknamed the “Dangerous Dozen”. This new list contains the 12 Most Wanted fugitives sought by the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force at any given time. May 26, 2010 - Members of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Mychael J. Martin, age 19, at a residence in Mansfield, after a lengthy investigation. Martin was wanted by the Mansfield Police Department for pandering obscenity involving a minor, a second degree felony, as well as failing to appear in the Richland County Common Pleas Court for a drug trafficking trial. May 24, 2010 - The Northwest Arkansas Sex Offender and Violent Crime Task Force announce the arrest of Jerome M. Porter, 41, who was wanted on three counts of rape and one count of Sexual Assault in the 2nd Degree by Washington County, Arkansas. Porter had been on the run since September of 2005. May 22, 2010 - The U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force (GCRFTF), working in conjunction with investigators from the U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force (FRFTF) in Pensacola, FL arrested a Florida man sought on multiple felony counts of possessing Child Pornography while living in the Pensacola area. Martin Lyle Christianson, aka ‘Robert Allen’ of Cantonment, FL is wanted by the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office for possessing images of child pornography, including images of child molestation. May 21, 2010 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force working in conjunction with investigators from the Florida Attorney General’s CyberCrime Unit in Milton, FL are asking public for help in locating a Cantonment, FL man who is wanted as suspect for possessing images of child pornography, including images of child molestation. The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office has issued the warrant which charges Martin Lyle Christianson, aka ‘Robert Allen’, 58, with 20 felony counts of Possession of Child Pornography. May 21, 2010 - On Wednesday May 19th, 2010 U.S. Marshals Operation Intercept Florence Division and Myrtle Beach Police arrested David V. Sheppard at 802 65th Ave. North Myrtle Beach. Sheppard was wanted for alleged Failure to Register as a Sex Offender out of Brockton District Court in Brockton, MA. May 20, 2010 - The U.S. Marshals Service presented awards today to 40 law enforcement officers from more than 10 countries around the world at the 12th Annual International Fugitive Investigators Conference in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. “We are pleased to honor these 40 investigators,” said John F. Clark, Director of the U.S. Marshals Service. “The ability of law enforcement from different countries to reach across borders, collaborate on leads, and share intelligence demonstrates a significant contribution in the service of justice around the world. Although these awards represent just a handful of cases, they recognize the accomplishments of teams of officers who have acted in the spirit of true global cooperation.” May 20, 2010 - A man wanted by the Georgia Department of Corrections was arrested by the United States Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Brantley County Sheriff’s Department on May 19, 2010. Timothy Michael Childs, 33, was wanted by the Georgia Department of Corrections for Escape. The warrant was issued on May 11, 2010 in Savannah, Georgia. Childs was convicted in Toombs County, Georgia for armed robbery in March of 2001. May 14, 2010 - Students from Arthur Ashe Charter School visited the Eastern District of Louisiana’s United States Marshals Office in New Orleans. The students spent the morning with District Deputies learning what a typical day in the life of a Deputy U.S. Marshal was like. May 12, 2010 - U.S. Marshal Michael R. Regan announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) arrested Jonathan Luis Torres-Caraballo in Millville, New Jersey. Torres-Caraballo was being sought by the West Manchester Township Police Department (York County). In early May 2010, a 16-year old girl from West Manchester Township was reported as a runaway by her parents. An investigation determined the juvenile female may be with a 20-year old male, later identified as Jonathan Torres-Caraballo. Further investigation determined that the minor was being held against her will. May 10, 2010 - A graduation ceremony was held for over one-hundred 5th and 6th grade students from Martin Luther King Jr. Charter School in New Orlean’s Lower Ninth Ward. The students recently completed the Eastern District of Louisiana United States Marshals sponsored Gang Resistance Education and Training (G.R.E.A.T) Program. May 07, 2010 - Cathy J. Jones, Acting United States Marshal for the Southern District of Ohio and Dayton Chief of Police Richard Biehl, announce the arrest of Anthony D. Choice after more than a ten month long man hunt. Choice is charged with three counts of murder, two counts of aggravated robbery, two counts of aggravated burglary, and two counts of felonious assault because of his suspected involvement in a June 24, 2009 home invasion that left one man dead. May 06, 2010 - The U.S. Marshals Mid-South Fugitive Task Force and Shelby County Sheriff's Street Crimes Unit arrested Jamal Brown of Polk County, Florida. Brown was indicted in Polk County on 2 counts of First Degree Murder, Attempted First Degree Murder, Conspiracy Burglary of a Dwelling, Assault Armed Burglary of Dwelling and Armed Robbery with a firearm. Brown has been profiled on the TV show America's Most Wanted. May 06, 2010 - On May 5th, 2010 Deputy U.S. Marshals and Task Force Officers arrested Raymond Bellavance, Jr. at a construction worksite on Moore Duncan Highway in Moore, SC. Bellavance was wanted for allegedly setting fire to the Grand View Topless Coffee Shop in Vassalboro, ME. May 06, 2010 - The U.S. Marshals Mid-South Fugitive Task Force arrested Antwan Melvin in a North Memphis home. Melvin, a documented member of the “Vice Lords” street gang, was wanted by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office on numerous felony charges. Melvin was wanted for three counts of Aggravated Robbery, four counts Criminal-Attempt Aggravated Robbery, three counts of Especially Aggravated Kidnapping, four counts Aggravated Assault, one count Aggravated Burglary, one count of Intentionally Evading Arrest in Auto with Risk of Death and Theft of Property $1000 to $10,000. May 04, 2010 - On April 30, Jeff Moturi, brother of Deputy U.S. Marshal Johnny Sanford, signed a free agent contract with the Green Bay Packers. Moturi one of eight players in school history to amass 2000 receiving yards and ranked third in UTEP’s yearly historical records in TD catches completing his collegiate career at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). May 04, 2010 - U. S. Marshal Federico Rocha of the Northern District of California announced the arrest of David Gordon Myers. On May 3, Myers was arrested at a Klamath RV Park. Myers was wanted for violation of probation in Humboldt County and was charged in Crescent City with being out of compliance with the state’s sex registration laws. Myers was convicted in 1987 for lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14 and placed on probation. In 1989, Myers absconded from supervision and failed to update his registration. May 04, 2010 - The United States Marshals Service have arrested a Wilmington man wanted by Wilmington Police in connection with a fatal crash that claimed the life of a popular community advocate. Jesus L. Pinkston, 22, is wanted in the hit-and-run death of 48-year-old Christopher W. White, executive director of the Community Legal Aid Society and the Shipley Village Community Development Corp. May 04, 2010 - A man wanted by the Charleston County Sheriff’s Department in Charleston, South Carolina was arrested by the United States Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Savannah Chatham Metro Police Department on May 4, 2010. Kendrick Coakley was wanted by the Charleston County Sheriff’s Department for failure to appear on Possession of Marijuana charges and Carrying a Pistol charge. April 30, 2010 - The United States Marshals Service in the Southern District of Ohio, Butler County Sheriff’s Office, Ohio Adult Parole Authority, Butler County Adult Probation, Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation (BCI), and SOFAST (Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team) conducted a joint law enforcement effort to verify the residency of local sex offenders in Butler County. During April 26-30, 2010, Deputy Sheriffs, Deputy U.S. Marshals, Adult Parole Officers, Adult Probation Officers, and BCI Agents teamed up in the fifth of a continuing Federal Operation known as Operation Neighborhood Watch. April 28, 2010 - Fugitive Deadrick Stokes was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service Mid-South Fugitive Task Force and Shelby County Sheriff’s Street Crimes Unit. In February of this year, Stokes was convicted of First Degree Murder and sentenced to life in prison. Last Thursday, Stokes was released from the Shelby County Jail due to a clerical error. Stokes’ fugitive status landed him on the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s Top Ten Most Wanted Fugitive list. April 28, 2010 - Eric Timberman, the United States Marshal for the District of Puerto Rico, would like to announce that Jose Ruiz-Rivera, a “Most Wanted” Fugitive of the U.S. Marshals led Puerto Rico Fugitive Task Force (PRFTF), was arrested today in Florida, Puerto Rico. Ruiz-Rivera was wanted by the Philadelphia Police Department since September of 2009 for rape of a minor. April 26, 2010 - On April 21, 2010, Detectives with the Midland Police Department received information of a possible murder for hire conspiracy. During the investigation, detectives identified the suspect as Johnathon Rendon, an employee with the City of Midland Animal Control department. The investigation revealed that Rendon planned to hire a co-worker to assist him in kidnapping and beating the ex-boyfriend of a girl that he has been dating. April 26, 2010 - Wanted fugitive Dale Zucker, age 61, was arrested this afternoon in Union City, California. Zucker was wanted on a federal arrest warrant for failing to appear for his January 26th trial to face federal fraud charges. Zucker was released on bond by the federal courts following his arraignment on these charges and was living with family members in the south Florida area. April 26, 2010 - U.S. Marshal Michael R. Regan announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) arrested Freddie Jones in York, Pennsylvania. Jones was being sought on an arrest warrant, dated April 1, 2010, and signed by Magisterial District Judge Lavon A. Postelle in Harrisburg. April 23, 2010 - The U.S. Marshals Mid-South Fugitive Task Force and Shelby County SWAT Team arrested Donald James Hodgson in the “Nutbush” area of Memphis. Hodgson was wanted for Escaping from the Lauderdale County Jail late Monday night. When Lauderdale County Sheriff Steve Sanders learned about the escape he contacted the U.S. Marshals MSFTF and Tennessee Bureau of Investigations for assistance. Hodgson was a special housing inmate from Sullivan County, TN and serving a state sentence for Robbery. April 23, 2010 - The U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force apprehended a Walton County man who has eluded law enforcement since 2006 after he allegedly molested a young girl. Jimmy Donald Suttles Jr., was arrested this morning around 8:30 a.m. (EST). Suttles was found living in an apartment above a garage of a house in the affluent community of Smyrna, GA., a suburb of Atlanta. According to the Marshals Task Force in Atlanta, Suttles was living on this property for some time using the garage as his shop to repair and restore cars. April 23, 2010 - The US Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force today announced the results of a week long enforcement initiative focused on Sex Offenders, Gang Members, and Violent Offenders in observance of the National Crime Victims’ Rights Week. President Barak Obama recently proclaimed April 18-24, 2010 as National Crime Victims’ Rights Week with the theme of this year’s campaign being, “Crime Victims’ Rights: Fairness. Dignity. Respect.” This year’s theme reminds citizens of the core rights that all crime victims want and deserve the right to be treated fairly with dignity and respect. April 22, 2010 - U. S. Marshal Federico Rocha of the Northern District of California announced the arrest of Timothy Cummings. On April 21, Cummings, 38, was arrested in the 1900 block of 92nd Avenue in Oakland. Cummings wanted for a number of local, state, and federal charges stemming from July 2005 thru May 2009. Allegedly Cummings sexually abused his girlfriend’s daughter. He is charged with aggravated rape, sexual battery and indecent behavior with a juvenile; and failure to appear. April 22, 2010 - Earlier today, members of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force and the Mansfield Division of Police arrested Desiree Marshall, age 22, at a family member’s residence in Mansfield. Marshall is charged with felonious assault by the Mansfield Police Department. Marshall allegedly had a verbal altercation in which she fired multiple shots striking a victim in the chest. April 22, 2010 - The U.S. Marshals Service and its law enforcement partners have arrested 139 people in connection with Operation Clean Slate – a sex offender compliance operation. The arrests were carried out by teams of Deputies, Agents, and Officers comprised of the U.S. Marshals Service Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, United States Secret Service, Alabama Board of Pardons and Parole, Alabama Bureau of Investigation, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, the Birmingham Police Department, and the Hoover Police Department. Apprehension Task Force (PNWFAT) along with members of the King County Sheriff’s Office tactical team arrested Nerses and Samuel Galstyan April 21, 2010 - On April 12th, 2010 Michael Derrick Peninger allegedly failed to appear at the Charleston Federal Courthouse for his Sentencing Hearing for an October Mail Fraud Conviction. A Bench Warrant was issued by the court and directed US Marshals to locate and apprehend Peninger. Deputy United States Marshals developed information that Peninger was on Daniel Island. Deputies, Charleston City Police Officers and FBI Agents immediately responded to the area. K-9 officers tracked Peninger into a wooded area and followed his trail into the business district where Peninger was spotted and taken into custody. April 20, 2010 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force in Panama City arrested an escapee today from the Indiana State Prison, in Michigan City who’s been on the lam since last Friday. Jason Garmon, 30, was serving a 7 year and 10 year prison sentence for Attempted Robbery and Robbery. Garmon was assigned to a work detail when he escaped from the prison April 16. April 20, 2010 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested a man at the Gulf Breeze Zoo this afternoon who is wanted by law enforcement in Huntsville, AL. Jonathan Derek Ramey is being sought by the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Sheriff’s Offices in Marshall and Etowah Counties, AL as the main suspect in burglaries which an assortment of guns were stolen. April 20, 2010 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force announces the arrest of a federal fugitive from the Pensacola area on the run for over 7 years in the city of Cap Haitian early this morning. U.S. Marshals, the Drug Enforcement Administration and Haitian Authorities caught up with Guerly Alexis at a small restaurant he was running about 100 miles north of the capital city Port-Au –Prince about 8 a.m. (CST). April 16, 2010 - The U.S. Marshals Service captured 15 Most Wanted Fugitive Enrique Done today at in Newark, N.J. After a yearlong manhunt spanning the northeast United States, U.S. Marshals obtained information Done was in a residence on South 14th Street in Newark. Deputy U.S. Marshals, task force officers from the U.S. Marshals Service New York / New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force and a New Jersey State Police K-9 Unit found Done hiding in the basement of an associate’s residence. April 16, 2010 - US Marshal Kelvin Washington Announces Fugitive Arrests. A significant arrest occurred on Wednesday April 14th, 2010, when the US Marshals Task Force, apprehended Donsurvi Chisolm at a bus stop in Los Angeles, CA. Chisolm was wanted on a Felony Murder Warrant out of Berkeley County, SC. On April 1st, 2010 at 2 Plainfield Avenue Goose Creek, SC Chisolm allegedly shot and killed his fourteen year old nephew Michael Chisolm and seriously injured his brother Donsa Chisolm. April 15, 2010 - In the early evening hours of 04/14/2010, Waco “White Wolf” Tohausen, 37 years old, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department in Murphy, NC. Tohausen, indicted for Rape and Pandering Sexually Oriented Materials involving a five year old victim. The crimes, which were committed back in 2007, where recently indicted back on December 21, 2009. Tohausen is associated with a Wiccan Group known as the Temple of the Crystalline Star and the Lustration of the Ancestors. April 15, 2010 - Memphis, TN – This morning U.S. Marshals Mid-South Fugitive Task delivered a birthday surprise when they arrested Tiffany Upkins (30) on charges of Theft by receiving and Fraudulent use of a Credit Card which occurred in Arkansas. Upkins’ charges stemmed from offenses she allegedly committed while on a three month nationwide crime spree with Cassandra Henry also known as the “Big Mamma Bandit.” Herny and husband Corry were arrested in Claremont, CA last week for robbing the elderly in the Mid-South region. Upkins remained on the run until today when MSFTF arrested her at the Starlight Motel. Today is Upkins’ 30th Birthday. When U.S. Marshals arrested Upkins she stated, “I just wanted to stay out and celebrate my birthday.” Upkins was transported to the Jail East where she will await extradition back to Arkansas. April 14, 2010 - On April 07, 2010, the Eastern District of Louisiana hosted the South Central Regional District Chief’s Conference in New Orleans, LA. The keynote speaker welcoming the group to the city was Mr. Tom Benson, owner of the Super Bowl Champion New Orleans Saints. April 13, 2010 - U.S. Marshal Michael R. Regan announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) arrested Kashon Harris in Chambersburg. Harris was being sought by authorities in Westminster, Carroll County, Maryland as a suspect in a double shooting on February 2, 2010 at the Bishops Garth Apartments. Police believe the shootings, which occurred at 2:30PM, were the result of an argument between two suspects and the two shooting victims. The feud centered on a cellular telephone that had previously been left in a stairwell by one of the suspects. Police believe Harris randomly fired shots inside the apartment when one of the victims opened the front door. Both victims received non-life threatening injuries. At the time of the shooting, four other people were present inside the apartment, including two 1-year old children. None of these four individuals were injured during the attack. April 13, 2010 - On Tuesday March 30th at approximately 1:40 a.m., three inmates Quentin M. Truehill, Kentrell F. Johnson, and Peter M. Hughes escaped from the Avoyelles Parish Jail in Marksville, Louisiana. The inmates escaped after they armed themselves with a make shift knife and held it to the throat of a Correctional Officer (CO) and forced him to open the door. The US Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force in Miami along with the Miami Dade Police Department ultimately located and arrested all three escapees. Two were arrested as they were leaving the Budget Inn located in Miami. The third escapee was apprehended by Task Force Officers a few blocks away. April 8, 2010 - Claremont, CA – Cassandra HENRY and husband Corry HENRY were arrested in Claremont, CA by Claremont Police Department. Corry HENRY was wanted for violating his Federal Supervised Release. Cassandra Henry was wanted for numerous violent felony acts against the elderly. Acting on information provided by U.S. Marshals Mid-South Fugitive Task Force both were taken into custody without incident. April 07, 2010 - Eric Timberman, U.S. Marshal for the District of Puerto Rico, would like to announce that Edgardo Seda-Arroyo, aka “Rambo”, a member of both the Puerto Rico Police Department and U.S. Marshals led Puerto Rico Fugitive Task Force’s Most Wanted List, was arrested by the United States Marshals today. Seda-Arroyo was wanted by the Puerto Rico Police Department for murder, attempted murder of a police officer and weapons charges stemming from an incident in Puerto Nuevo in 2007. April 06, 2010 - U.S. Marshal Michael R. Regan announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) arrested Troy Dillard in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Dillard is a confirmed “Blood” gang member in Trenton, New Jersey and was being sought on an arrest warrant charging him with several offenses including carjacking, kidnapping, robbery and assault. April 02, 2010 - Richard Ray, a suspect wanted in connection of string of armed robberies in Pensacola, FL was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Fugitive Task Force in Mobile, AL. Several warrants issued by the Escambia County Sheriff's Office charge Ray with Robbery with a Firearm and Aggravated Assault. Earlier the same day, Terrence Letrell Woods, 29, was captured by the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force in a suburb of Atlanta, GA. Woods is wanted by the ECSO for Failure To Appear on charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Discharging a Firearm in Public, and Possession of a Firearm by a Felon and Felony Criminal Mischief. March 31, 2010 - On March 29, 2010, Quentin M. Truehill, Kentrell F. Johnson, and Peter M. Hughes escaped from the Avoyelles Parish Sheriff's Office D.C. #1 in Louisiana. Santiago-Hernandez was being sought on a bench warrant issued March 5, 2009 by Monroe County Court of Common Pleas Judge Margherita P. Worthington. The warrant, held by the Monroe County Sheriffs Office, charged Santiago-Hernandez with Failure to Appear for a hearing on February 26, 2009 in the Monroe County Courthouse. March 29, 1010 - Deputy United States Marshals teamed up with fellow county and local law enforcement agencies to conduct a Monroe County-based round up of fugitives. Dubbed “Operation First Light III”, Deputy Marshals and their fellow task force members arrested 28 fugitives. The diligent work by the Metro Fugitive Task Force led the investigation to Culberson St, where it was believed that Bryant, who was using the alias Joseph Bryant was staying with a family friend. Contact with the residence was made by task force team members and Bryant was taken into custody without incident. Bryant is currently being held in Oklahoma county Jail pending extradition back to Philadelphia. He is accused of shooting a rival drug dealer on the street. March 24, 2010 - Members of the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Lafayette alongside Deputies with the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested thirty-nine year old William Martin from Johnson City, Tennessee. Martin was Wanted by the Kingsport, TN Police Department for Aggravated Sexual Battery, as he allegedly assaulted a female juvenile under the age of twelve. March 24, 2010 - 15 Most Wanted Addition - The U.S. Marshals Service added Enrique Done to their 15 Most Wanted Fugitives list today. Done is wanted by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency in Newark, N.J., and has been charged for his alleged role as the leader of an international drug trafficking conspiracy. March 24, 2010 - The U.S. Marshals Northern California Task Force received information March 18 that a black Chevy Tahoe owned and registered to Jose Valencia-Hernandez, a fugitive wanted out of Vancouver, Wash., for distribution of methamphetamine, possession of firearms, and arson was traveling on the 101 Freeway near Fremont, Calif. Authorities stopped the vehicle, occupied by two men, without incident. March 24, 2010 - The Department of Justice via the U.S. Marshals Service has launched a Web site, www.usmarshals.gov/investigations/g8/index.html, highlighting the 10 most wanted sex offenders in the United States. Seven other countries have also launched similar sites. The U.S. G8-affiliated Wanted Child Sex Offender initiative, in collaboration with INTERPOL, aims to identify and apprehend wanted child sex offenders from the G8 countries – United States, United Kingdom, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and Russia – by bringing together initiatives relating to child sex offenders. March 23, 2010 - Middle Louisiana Fugitive Task Force (MLFTF) investigators arrested fugitives Lawrence Crandle and Brandon Payton. Both fugitives were wanted by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) for multiple counts of Possession with Intent to Distribute 5 grams or more of crack cocaine. Crandle was also wanted for being a Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm. March 23, 2010 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team arrested a fugitive this morning wanted as the suspect in an attempted murder of a Pensacola man at a motel in Pensacola last year. Michael Joe Green, 35, has been on the run from authorities after he allegedly shot 29 year old Jeffrey Watson in the head at the Red Roof Inn on Plantation Road on May 10, 2009. March 19, 2010 - U.S. Marshal Michael R. Regan announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) arrested bank robbery suspect, Gregory Edward Wagner, in Charlotte, North Carolina. Wagner was being sought on an arrest warrant, dated January 8, 2009, and signed by Magisterial District Judge Richard Claypool in Pocono Pines, Pennsylvania. March 19, 2010 - Cathy J. Jones, United States Marshal for the Southern District of Ohio, Springfield Police Chief Steve Moody, and Montgomery County Sheriff Phil Plummer announce the arrest of Derrick Lamont Caldwell after a two day man hunt covering both Clark and Montgomery Counties. Caldwell, a registered sex offender in Montgomery County, was wanted in Springfield for 2 counts of robbery and is also a suspect for an alleged abduction and assault that occurred in Springfield last week. March 19, 2010 - U.S. Marshals in North Dakota captured James Lyle Mead on March 18, 2010. Mead, who allegedly shot Lance Scott in Delta Junction in February 2009, was wanted by the State of Alaska for Attempted Murder and Assault. March 19, 2010 - The Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) arrested 30 year-old Kenneth Kendrick at an associate’s residence located on Bahama Terrace in Cincinnati, Ohio. Kendrick is accused of an execution style shooting and killing of Anthony Collins in Detroit, Michigan on November 28, 2009. Kendrick is a four time habitual offender with a lengthy criminal record that includes multiple convictions for various crimes including felony weapon violations. March 19, 2010 - An international manhunt has ended with the capture of Jorge Torres-Puello aka Jorge Torres Orellana. After a coordinated effort between the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and multiple law enforcement agencies in the United States and overseas, Torres-Puello was located in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and arrested without incident by local authorities there Thursday at 8 p.m. March 19, 2010 - Eric Timberman, the United States Marshal for the District of Puerto Rico, would like to announce that Luis Xadiel Cruz-Vasquez, aka “el mono”, the brother of alleged drug kingpin Angel Ayala-Vasquez, aka “Angelo Milliones”, was arrested by the United States Marshals led Puerto Rico Fugitive Task Force. Cruz-Vasquez, was charged September 28, 2009, in the District of Puerto Rico for conspiracy to import and distribute narcotics, and trafficking narcotics within 1,000 ft. of a school. March 18, 2010 - A 17 year old juvenile, believed to be associated with a violent gang organization in the Northwest Arkansas area, was arrested in Springdale following an all night standoff. The Western Arkansas Fugitive Task Force was asked to assist the Springdale Police Department, an active partner of the task force, in locating and apprehending the male juvenile. He was wanted for Aggravated Assault, Battery 3rd Degree, and Engaging in Violent Criminal Group Activity. March 18, 2010 - U.S. Marshal Federico Rocha of the Northern District of California announces the arrest of 16 individuals in Humboldt County during a Fugitive Task Force Operation conducted Monday. March 17, 2010 - The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force with vital assistance from the Opelousas Police Department arrested forty-six year old Gabriel Lewis at 812 Ballard Lane, Opelousas, LA. After an extensive search of the residence, Lewis was found hiding in the attic and was ultimately arrested without incident. Lewis was Wanted by King County, Washington for First Degree Robbery. March 17, 2010 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force today announced the arrest of Frank Gillard, 55, of Tallahassee, FL on an outstanding Tallahassee Police Department (TPD) charge of Sexual Battery on a Mentally Defective Victim. March 17, 2010 - On 03/16//2010, members of the U. S. Marshals Service SWIFT (Southwest Investigative Fugitive Team) task force arrested homicide suspect Joel Martin in Portales, New Mexico. On March 5, 2010, a warrant was issued by the Superior Court of the State of California for the County of Los Angeles charging Martin with Murder. March 16, 2010 - The United States Marshals have arrested two subjects wanted for a murder that occurred during a home invasion robbery on November 4, 2009. The murder happened at a farmhouse in Chesapeake City, MD. Investigators from the Cecil County Sheriffs identified four subjects involved in the homicide. Two subjects were arrested on February 25, 2010. Joel Milburn, 20 and Seth Jedlicka, 17 remained at large. March 12, 2010 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force today announced the addition of the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office as the newest member of the Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force. Liberty County Deputy Sheriff William Todd Wheetley was sworn in this morning as a Special Deputy U.S. Marshal and appointed as the first representative from the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office to join task force operations. March 12, 2010 - On Thursday March 11, 2010, the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested Chanchez Stewart (age 23) for homicide and assault with intent to murder. Stewart was wanted by the Detroit Police Department in Michigan. In August 2009, Stewart allegedly shot two persons in the face, killing Michael Saphr. Shortly after the homicide it is believed that Stewart fled Michigan for Ohio. March 11, 2010 - The U.S. Marshals brought down an alleged one-man crime wave today when they arrested Gary Hendricks. A fugitive from justice since 2008, Hendricks allegedly embarked on a crime spree in North Carolina spanning at least five counties including Johnston, Cumberland, Bladen, Columbus and Davidson. U.S. Marshals arrested him today in New York. March 10, 2010 - Members of the Pacific Northwest Fugitive Apprehension Task Force, along with special agents from HUD-Office of Inspector General, arrested Henry Arthur Kent earlier today in Seattle. Kent, a convicted murderer, was wanted out of Manitoba, Canada for violation of parole. Kent was released on parole in 1996 after serving just over 13 years of a life sentence for non-capital murder. March 08, 2010 - United States Marshal Federico Rocha of the Northern District of California announces the arrest of murder suspect Maurice Baldwin. The U.S. Marshals Service New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Baldwin, 31, Thursday in East Orange, N.J., without incident. Baldwin is awaiting extradition back to San Pablo, California. March 05, 2010 - One week after being added to the U.S. Marshals 15 Most Wanted list and one day before his case was to be profiled nationally on FOX’s America’s Most Wanted, former state corrections officer Albert James Turner Jr. is now behind bars. The U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offenders and Fugitive Task Force, along with the Rosenberg (Texas) Police Department, had been searching for Turner for the Dec. 27, 2009, murders of his wife, Keitha Turner, and mother-in-law Betty Joe Frank. March 02, 2010 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested a man who is wanted for sexually battering an Okaloosa woman and held her in an apartment against her will last month. The alleged suspect, Alvaro Ignacio Abaunza, 40, of Crestview was arrested by Task Force members. March 02, 2010 - Cathy Jones, Acting United States Marshal for the Southern District of Ohio, and Walter L. Davis III, Delaware County Sheriff announces the arrest of William W. Hatcher by the Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST). Hatcher had been wanted by the Delaware County, Ohio Sheriff’s office for two counts of Rape and Sexual Battery based on charges that he gave a juvenile female alcohol and then raped her. The victim reportedly knew Hatcher prior to the rape which allegedly occurred on December 17, 2009. March 01, 2010 - The U.S. Marshals of the Southern District of Ohio and its state and local law enforcement partners concluded Operation Neighborhood Watch-Eastern Borders in Lawrence County. Authorities are calling it success. “It’s a major victory any time we arrest an individual who poses a threat to our communities, especially to innocent children,” said Interim United States Marshal Cathy Jones. “Operation Neighborhood Watch was executed to send a message to sex offenders who aren’t in compliance with the law—register or go to jail.” March 1, 2010 - In 2009, the U.S. Marshals Mid-South Fugitive Task Force makes a record number of arrests for the year. According to 2009 fugitive performance measures reports the Task Force arrested 301 fugitives and cleared 400 warrants, 30 of which were Homicide fugitives. All warrants cleared were violent felony warrants. The Task Force has increased in size, with the addition of West Memphis Police Department. The Task Force is on pace of having another record setting year for 2010. March 01, 2010 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested a man today who is wanted on multiple assault and battery charges where he allegedly tried to strangle the victim several times while continuously beating her. 26 year-old Foster Jermall Gibbs - wanted by Escambia Sheriff’s Office - was arrested without incident in Pensacola. March 01, 2010 - A major fugitive wanted on an outstanding federal arrest warrant has been arrested by a team of law enforcement officers led by U.S. Marshals in Aurora, Colorado. Antwan Cortez White was being sought on a federal arrest warrant issued in the Southern District of Iowa charging him with Failure to Appear for Trial. February 28, 2010 - Keenan Childs, 37 years old, was arrested by the Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST). Childs was wanted for the shooting of off- duty Cincinnati Police officer Thomas Owens. February 26, 2010 - A man wanted by the Savannah Chatham Metro Police Department was arrested by the United States Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and a SCMPD K-9 unit in Savannah, Georgia on February 26, 2010. Marcus Jacob Jones, 19, was wanted by the Savannah Chatham Metro Police Department on five separate warrants charging him with two burglaries, one aggravated assault with intent to rob, one armed robbery, and one kidnapping with bodily injury. February 25, 2010 - On Tuesday, February 23, 2010, Acting U.S. Marshal for the Eastern District of Louisiana Steven Hartman accepted the Metropolitan Crime Commission’s “ 2010 Excellence in Law Enforcement Award ,” on behalf of the New Orleans Division of the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force (GCRFTF). The award recognized the GCRFTF’s efforts in the New Orleans area, resulting in more than 1,200 physical arrests and more than 1,800 outstanding warrants cleared. February 25, 2010 - The Abbeville Police Department and U.S. Marshals are pleased to announce the arrest of Jamaal Diggs. Diggs was Wanted by the Abbeville Police Department for Second Degree Murder and Louisiana Probation and Parole for Probation Violation. February 24, 2010 - Wanted fugitive Marlon Clemons, age 31, was arrested last evening at in Southfield, Michigan. Clemons, who was at the top of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force’s wanted list, was finally apprehended after alluding police for the past few weeks. Clemons is believed to be the primary suspect involved in an incident which started as a fight and escalated into a shooting in Cleveland. February 23, 2010 - The U.S. Marshals Service is pleased to announce the arrest of escaped fugitive Anthony Ray Perkins in Brattleboro, VT by members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force and the Brattleboro, VT Police Department. On February 2, 2010, Perkins failed to return to the minimum security Calumet Transitional Housing Unit in Manchester, NH and was placed on escape status. Perkins was serving a three to seven year sentence for burglary after previously serving a three to seven year sentence for robbery. Since Perkins’ escape, he has been avoiding arrest by moving around and hiding with friends in both New Hampshire and Vermont. February 22, 2010 - Gabriel Morris, a 34 year-old white male, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force (CARFTF) near a residence on Dominion Drive in Dumfries, Virginia. Morris was wanted for charges of two counts of Aggravated Murder following the discovery of murder victims Robin Lynn Anstey and Robert William Kennelly in Bandon, Oregon on February 11, 2010. February 19, 2010 - U.S. Marshal Michael R. Regan announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) arrested Michael Gregory Martinez in Brooklyn, New York. Martinez was being sought on an arrest warrant in State College, Pennsylvania. In July 2009, the Ferguson Township Police Department conducted an investigation into alleged sexual assaults of a minor in State College. February 17, 2010 - This morning, a convicted child molester who fled his residence in Scottsdale, was arrested in California. In August 2009, Wesley Bikoff, age 48, removed his ankle monitoring device and left his residence in Scottsdale where he was required to reside as a condition of his Maricopa County probation. Bikoff was placed on probation after his conviction for sexual exploitation of a minor. February 16, 2010 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested a man early this morning wanted by both the Pensacola Police Department and Escambia Sheriff’s Office who has been eluding the police since November of last year. Antarus Manche Jackson, 32, was arrested during a felony car stop in Pensacola, FL. Jackson is charged with Felon in Possession of a Gun, Crack Cocaine Trafficking and Possession of Counterfeit Bills. February 16, 2010 - A man wanted by the Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police Department was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service Orlando Office of the Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force in Sanford, Florida. Davin Miquel Thomas, 24, was wanted by the Savannah Chatham Metro Police Department on a warrant issued on December 23, 2009, charging him with Robbery by Sudden Snatching. The victim in the case had a bank bag containing approximately $22,000 in cash. Thomas snatched the bag from the victim and fled. February 15, 2010 - On February 14, 2010, students of the USMS/G.R.E.A.T. (Gang Resistance Education and Training) Program in New Orleans were proudly featured in the Bacchus Parade during Mardi Gras. Twenty outstanding students were selected to participate based on their accomplishments achieved during the G.R.E.A.T. lessons taught at the MLK Jr. Charter School. February 14, 2010 - The U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force nabbed a Santa Rosa County man who is believed to be the suspect wanted in connection with a 2009 Home Invasion in Navarre, FL. The Marshals Task Force caught up with Frank Joseph DeSalvo Friday and arrested him without incident at a trailer he was living in about 70 miles outside of Atlanta. February 12, 2010 - U.S. Marshal Michael R. Regan announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service arrested Eric Daniel Martinborough, Jr. in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Martinborough was being sought on an arrest warrant in Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania. In April 2009, the Pocono Mountain Regional Police Department conducted an investigation into alleged sexual assaults of a minor in Tobyhanna. February 12, 2010 - The Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) arrested 32 year old Calvin “C-Murder” McKelton in the Avondale neighborhood of Cincinnati. McKelton is accused of killing Margaret “Missy” Allen of Fairfield in July of 2008. Margaret, who was pregnant at the time of her murder was described as an up and coming attorney in the Greater Cincinnati area, was also the live-in girlfriend of McKelton. February 12, 2010 - Earlier today, the Tulane University Police Department apprehended multi-state fugitive, Sarah Kelly, age 22, in New Orleans, La., based on a lead from the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force – Akron Division. Kelly fled Ohio earlier this month and several leads led investigators to focus on New Orleans, where she was arrested. February 11, 2010 - This morning, a Deputy U. S. Marshal and several sworn Task Force Officers attached to the U. S. Marshals Service Western Arkansas Fugitive Task Force were investigating a fugitive lead from the Gulf Coast region. Louis Elliott, age 33, died of a self-inflicted gun shot wound to the head from a handgun. Elliott was wanted in Shelby County, Alabama for felony charges of failing to appear on the original charge of sexual solicitation of a child by computer. February 11, 2010 - The Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) arrested 26 year-old Walter “Shay” Johnson at an associate’s residence located on Manss Avenue in Cincinnati, Ohio. Johnson is accused of shooting and killing Larry Anderson, 27 years-old, in Cincinnati, Ohio on December 7, 2009. February 10, 2010 - Cathy J. Jones, United States Marshal for the Southern District of Ohio, announced today that Craig Jewett and Kelly Miller have been arrested. Jewett and Miller were wanted by the City of Columbus Division of Police for aggravated murder. The murder charges stem from an April 20, 2002 fire in Columbus, Ohio that resulted in the death of John Miller. February 09, 2010 - Deputies from the U. S. Marshals Service arrested Michael A. Lyons, 60, in Cuba, NM after a thirty minute armed standoff. On November 25, 2009, a warrant was issued for Lyons after he was charged with Criminal Sexual Penetration of a minor. Lyons has been accused of raping a three year old girl. Lyons fled the Albuquerque area after being interviewed by Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office investigators regarding the alleged crime. February 09, 2010 - A man wanted by the Savannah Chatham Metro Police Department was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service Macon Office of the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department in Valdosta, Georgia. Artez Jamaal Beckett, 24, was wanted by the Savannah Chatham Metro Police Department on three warrants charging him with Armed Robbery, Kidnapping and Burglary. Akim Jamal Miller was wanted by the Spalding County Sheriff’s Department and the Griffin, Georgia Police Department on seven separate warrants charging him with eight counts of Child Molestation, seven counts of Enticing a Child for Indecent Purposes, four counts of Statutory Rape, and one count of Party to the Crime of Aggravated Sodomy. February 03, 2010 - The San Antonio Police Department, assisted by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force captured Steven Arreola, the last remaining suspect involved in the recent San Antonio kidnappings. Steven Arreola is being charged with 2 counts of aggravated kidnapping. February 02, 2010 - A man wanted by the Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police Department (SCMPD) was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and SCMPD K-9 officers. Taron Maurice Williams, 25, was wanted by the Savannah Chatham Police Department on a Murder warrant from an incident that occurred on November 27, 2009. February 02, 2010 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force assisted in the arrests of suspects wanted in connection with a kidnapping that occurred on January 21, 2010.in San Antonio, Texas. The victims subsequently escaped from their captors. Since then, the San Antonio Police Department, assisted by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force has captured five of the six suspects, leaving one (Steven Arreola) still on the run. February 10, 2010 - Memphis, TN – Today, the U.S. Marshals Mid-South Fugitive Task Force arrested Shaun Murphy (28) for Federal Pre-Trial release Violation. Murphy’s original charge was Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Counterfeiting. During the arrest, Task Force members seized approximately $560.00 of counterfeit U.S. currency. Murphy was arrested in the Jamesbridge Apartment complex in North Memphis without incident, and transported the U.S. Marshals Cellblock. January 29, 2010 - The U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force apprehended violent fugitive Johnny Jackson III, age 20, in Stockbridge, GA based on a lead from the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force – Lorain County Division. Jackson fled Ohio earlier this month and several leads led investigators to focus on Stockbridge, GA where he was arrested. January 29, 2010 - The United States Marshals Service in the Southern District of Ohio, the State of Ohio Adult Parole Authority, the State of Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation (BCI) and the men and women of the Gallia County and Meigs County Sheriff’s Offices conducted a joint law enforcement effort to verify the residency of local sex offenders in their counties. January 23, 2010 - Regis Reymon Madison, the last known suspect wanted in connection for the murder of a Pace man less than a week ago was apprehended today by the U.S. Marshals Western and Middle Districts of Louisiana Fugitive Task Force in Lafayette, LA. January 21, 2010 - U.S. Marshal Michael R. Regan announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) arrested alleged rapist Nery Adolfo Perez-Duarte in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Perez-Duarte had been the subject of an intensive search by the U.S. Marshals Service. During the early morning hours of December 27, 2009, the Meshoppen Police Department responded to a 911 call of a rape victim with serious bodily injuries. January 19, 2010 - The United States Marshals have arrested a Wilmington area man who was wanted by Palm Beach County, Florida for sexual assault of a minor. The Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested Angel L. Rivera who was indicted in Palm Beach County for sexual assault of a minor. The assault occurred in Boca Raton, Florida in August 2008. January 19, 2010 - A man wanted by the Savannah-Chatham Counter Narcotics Team (CNT) and the Chatham County Sheriff’s Department was arrested by the United States Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police Department (SCMPD) Patrol Officers, SCMPD K-9, and a CNT agent. Herman Lamont Dessasure was wanted by the Savannah-Chatham Counter Narcotics Team on numerous drug related warrants for drug incidents that occurred in 2009. January 17, 2010 - Early this morning, a convicted child molester who left a men’s shelter in Mesa in August 2009 with three other sex offenders, was returned to the United States after surrendering to authorities in Mexico. In August 2009, Randy Brown, along with Donald Temple, Matthew Ellsworth, and Manual Dominguez left the East Valley Men’s Shelter in Mesa where they were required to reside as a condition of their probation. January 15, 2010 - Yesterday afternoon two fugitives wanted in California for Parole Violations and as suspects in a Homicide, were arrested in Springfield, Oregon by the U.S. Marshals Oregon Fugitive Task Force (OFTF) and Springfield Police Department (SPD). Robert Reil, a 30-year old male, and Amour Villamora, a 30-year old female, were arrested on “U” street in Springfield. January 15, 2010 - A joint effort by the U.S. Marshals Northern California Fugitive Task Force, Fugitive Recovery Enforcement Team, and the San Francisco Police Department resulted in the arrest Wednesday of one of the San Francisco Police Department’s top 10 most wanted fugitives. Steve A. The juvenile suspect is charged with two counts of Aggravated Robbery, one count of Kidnapping, four counts of Aggravated Burglary, one count of Receiving Stolen Firearm, one count of Felonious Assault, and one count of Grand Theft Auto. January 13, 2010 - The United States Marshals led Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested Manuel Guardiola Tuesday in Eagle Pass, Texas. Guardiola escaped from custody on October 20, 2009 while incarcerated at the Kinney County Detention Center in Brackettville, Texas. Guardiola was in custody serving a sentence of 420 months for a narcotics conviction. January 11, 2010 -U.S. Marshal Michael R. Regan announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) arrested Esteban Merchan in York. Merchan was being sought by authorities in Hillsborough County, Florida as a suspect in connection with a triple homicide on December 28, 2009. January 08, 2010 - Federal Parole Violator, Kurtis Armann, was apprehended by the Great Lakes Regional Task Force based on an investigation by the U.S. Marshals Service in Columbus, Ohio. After serving his prison sentence for Conspiracy to Commit Attempted Murder, Armann absconded from probation supervision in May 2009. January 07, 2010 - A man wanted by the Mobile Police Department in Mobile, Alabama for Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for Murder was captured by the U.S. Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, the Marshals Service Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force, the Mobile Police Department, and the Port Wentworth Police Department in Port Wentworth, Georgia. Duane Jackson Jr., 22, was wanted by the Mobile, Alabama Police Department for a 2008 murder. January 06, 2010 - The U.S. Marshals Service is currently seeking Rodney Lamont Brown, Thomas Artin Glaab, and Miguel Robles-Moya, federal prisoners who escaped today from the Tri-County Detention Center in Ullin, IL. No details on their method of escape are available at this time. January 05, 2010 - The U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested wanted fugitive Demetrius Briggs. Briggs, age 20, was wanted by the Richland County Sheriff’s Office and the Mansfield Police Department on numerous arrest warrants including attempted murder, aggravated robbery, felonious assault, aggravated burglary and domestic violence. January 05, 2010 - Cathy J. Jones, Acting United States Marshal for the Southern District of Ohio and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, announce the arrest of Shamar Davis. Marshals Service, along with local law enforcement officers,
captured accused homicide suspect Paul Michael Merhige at a
motel in the Florida Keys. Merhige was arrested without incident
when authorities received a tip after the story was profiled on
"America's Most Wanted."
