Accused Waco, TX
Murderer on U.S. Marshals 15 Most Wanted List, Caught in Laredo

Robert
Glenn Brown --
(Washington, DC/Laredo, TX June 27, 2004) Early this morning Laredo Police
officers arrested
Robert Glenn Brown at a Laredo residence based on a
citizen's tip. Brown is accused of the murder of Larry
Hawkins in November 2003 in Waco. Hawkins was found dead, from multiple gunshot
wounds, by Waco Police on November 10 in his
residence.
U.S. Marshals were asked by the Waco Police to
assist in the location of Brown. Deputy Marshals and
their fugitive task forces have been searching for
Brown ever since, and added him to their "15 Most
Wanted List" on June 16, 2004. Robert Brown, on probation for a drug conviction in
Tennessee when Hawkins was killed, has been
featured as a most wanted fugitive on television and
in newspapers throughout Texas.
A concerned citizen phoned-in the tip of his possible
whereabouts to police, after seeing Brown's photo in
a local paper.
Laredo Police arrested Brown without incident. At the time of the
arrest, he gave police officers an alias he was using, but after arriving at
the Webb County Jail, he admitted to his true identity.
"This capture is another prime example of the
positive results from the involvement of our citizens, news media, U.S.
Marshals and state and local law enforcement agencies working together
making our streets safer," said Ben Reyna, Director of the U.S. Marshals
Service.
