HIGHLIGHT ARREST

MARCO ULLOA       OCDETF      FT. MYERS, FLORIDA

Marco Ulloa, 30, a major drug trafficker, was a target of the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force investigation into the Soto drug trafficking organization. The Soto Organization was well organized and allegedly responsible for the trafficking of large amounts of marijuana and cocaine sources in Mexico to the United States. Ulloa, who was responsible for transportation of the narcotics into the United States, was indicted in December 2002 in the Southern District of Texas for possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance. He eluded apprehension until the case was turned over to Operation FALCON. A possible location was discovered in Ft. Myers, Florida and an investigative lead was sent to Operation Falcon team members in Ft. Myers. Team members immediately responded to the lead and arrested Ulloa. He is currently being held without bond pending extradition back to Texas.
