HIGHLIGHT ARREST

EDDIE KELLY       HOMICIDE       TEXAS

Eddie Kelly, 24, who has been arrested twice in the past for homicide, was wanted by the Dallas Police Department for a third homicide he was alleged to have committed on February 13, 2005. While leaving a drug stash house in Dallas, Texas, Kelly got into an argument with a man over a car that was parked nearby. As the man attempted to leave in the car, Kelly entered the passenger side of the vehicle and shot the man five times in the abdomen. The vehicle crashed into a parked car. Kelly then shoved the victim out of the driver’s seat and then fled in the vehicle. After numerous hours of investigation and surveillance, Kelly was located and arrested by the Operation FALCON team at a residence in Dallas. At the time of the arrest, Kelly was in possession of a loaded, semi-automatic firearm. An additional charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon is being pursued by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.
