What is Covered by Federal EEO Laws

A United States Marshals Service (USMS) employee or applicant for employment may file an EEO complaint if the employee or applicant believes he/she was discriminated against based on one or more of these factors:

  • RACE
  • COLOR
  • SEX (Including Sexual Harassment)
  • RELIGION
  • NATIONAL ORIGIN
  • AGE (40 years or older)
  • DISABILITY (Physical or Mental)
  • REPRISAL (For EEO activity)
  • SEXUAL ORIENTATION 
  • PARENTAL STATUS
