Arrest of Ned Clesceri

On January 25, 2007, United States Marshal William Kruziki announced the capture of Ned N. Clesceri, age 50, who was apprehended Wednesday in Des Plaines, IL. by the United States Marshals Service’s (USMS) Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force (GLRFTF)-Chicago.

Clesceri, a resident of Des Plaines, IL., was wanted by the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) on multiple counts of Sexual Intercourse with a Child and Indecent Behavior with a Child. The allegations stem from conduct that occurred when Clesceri was a resident of New Berlin, WI. back in 1975. Clesceri is alleged to have assaulted two young relatives on multiple occasions during the summer of 1975. Not long after, he moved to Illinois.

Recent investigation by the New Berlin Police Department led to the issuance of the arrest warrant on January 24, 2007. On this same date, Investigators with the WCSO contacted the USMS in Milwaukee for assistance in locating and apprehending Clesceri.

The USMS-Milwaukee spearheads a Fugitive Task Force comprised of multiple federal, state and local officers including the WCSO.

Investigators from the Milwaukee Office immediately contacted their counterparts at the GLRFTF in Chicago. A residence for Clesceri was located and Clesceri was safely taken into custody after a short surveillance.

Clesceri is incarcerated in IL. where he awaits extradition back to WI. He faces up to 80 years in prison if convicted on all of the charges.
