- The U.S. Marshals Service is please to announce
that Washington State fugitive, and Level
III Sex Offender, David J. Torrence, self-surrendered earlier today in
Camden, Arkansas. On April 23, 2008,
convicted rapist and Level III Sex Offender David J. Torrence absconded
from Washington State Department of Corrections supervision and became a
fugitive. Torrence, a man with a history of Failing to Register as a Sex
Offender, decided that 3 days of supervision was enough and fled after being
released from prison on April 20, 2008.

March 06, 2008
- Roger Alan Scherner, of Carmel, Calif., was tracked to
Panama City, Florida, on information provided by the Pacific
Northwest Fugitive Apprehension Task Force (PNWFAT) in Seattle.
Scherner was arrested and is currently being held at the Bay County
Jail facing extradition back to Washington State. King County,
Washington prosecutors believe Scherner may have molested multiple
members of his own extended family as far back as 1966.

29,
2007 U.S. Marshals conducted another successful
Operation FALCON (Federal and Local Cops Organized Nationally) in
Clark, King, Pierce and Snohomish counties from August 20 - 24. Led
by the U.S. Marshals, Operation FALCON 2007 netted 249 arrests and
cleared 311 warrants.

- A man accused of a shooting and killing another man in a
dispute over fireworks on the 4th of July was arrested yesterday
afternoon in Anchorage, Alaska by deputy U.S. marshals and local law
enforcement
members from the U.S. Marshals Service sponsored Alaska Fugitive
Task Force.

April 5, 2007 -
A major fugitive wanted on outstanding state charges for murder has
been arrested by a team of law enforcement officers led by U.S.
Marshals in East Palo Alto, California. Kafoa M. Hefa, 20, was
being sought on a warrant issued in Seattle charging him with
murder. Hefa was arrested on April 3, 2007 in East Palo Alto,
California by investigators serving on the U.S. Marshal sponsored
Northern California Fugitive Task Force (NCTF) in conjunction with
members
of the California State Parole Fugitive Apprehension Team, the East
Palo Alto Police Department, and the San Mateo County Sheriff’s
Office.

March 30, 2007
- David Miller, Acting U.S. Marshal for the Western District of
Washington announced Wesley Clinton Gray, 50, has been arrested on
federal charges, accused of failing to register as a sex-offender as
required by law. Gray is the first person in Western Washington to be charged under the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety
Act of 2006. Gray was arrested
this morning in downtown Seattle by deputy U.S. marshals serving on
the Pacific Northwest Fugitive Apprehension Task Force (PNWFAT) and
agents from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

March 29, 2007 -
One of the Pacific Northwest’s Most Wanted fugitives was
arrested yesterday in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico by Mexican law enforcement
authorities based on information developed by the Pacific Northwest
Fugitive Apprehension Task Force (PNWFAT). Jeffery Jay Warren, age 57,
was wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service and the Drug Enforcement Agency
on a thirty count indictment for Conspiracy to Import
and Distribute Hashish, the Importation and Distribution of Hashish,
Conspiracy to Commit Money Laundering and Money Laundering.

February 9, 2007 - US Marshals participating in the
Pacific Northwest Fugitive Apprehension Taskforce (PNWFAT) located Isaias
Martinez-Reyes in Mexico. Martinez-Reyes has been wanted by the Seattle Police
Department since March of 2004. He is suspected of raping his 10
year-old niece on multiple occasions in early 2004 was arrested
yesterday by Mexican law enforcement authorities in Mexico City.
He will
remain in custody in Mexico City until extradition proceedings to
the United States are
completed.
- January 29, 2007 -
United States Marshal Eric Robertson
announced that he will resign as U.S. Marshal for the Western
District of Washington effective March 3, 2007. After five years of
service, he will be continuing his 23 years of public service as the
first Administrator of the Valley Regional Fire Authority (VRFA);
serving the communities of Algona, Auburn, and Pacific.
- December 22, 2006 -
A man suspected of committing a rape on
the streets of Seattle almost two years ago was arrested today in
Springfield, Ohio by deputy U.S. Marshals and police officers from
the Springfield Police Department. Norris Lee Pass Jr., age 46, was
wanted by the Seattle Police Department as the
primary suspect for a violent rape in 2005.
- November 02, 2006 -
Deputy United States Marshals teamed up
with thousands of fellow federal, state, and local law enforcement
agencies to conduct the largest ever round up of fugitive
sex-offenders and wanted gang members. Dubbed “Operation FALCON III”
(Federal And Local Cops Organized Nationally), Deputy Marshals and
their fellow task force members arrested 10,773 felony fugitives.
- October 04, 2006 -
A man accused of a “Controlled Substance
Homicide” in Snohomish County Superior Court was arrested last night
by members of the Pacific Northwest Fugitive Apprehension Task Force
(PNWFAT). Raoul M. Keith, age 38, of Everett was arrested without
incident outside the Top Food and Drug located at 1605 SE Everett
Mall Way in Everett.
- October 02, 2006 -
For the second time in a week a dangerous
murder suspect from out of state has been captured on the Kitsap
Peninsula. Anthony M. Caulton, age 25, of Youngstown, OH, was
arrested without incident in Bremerton by members of the Pacific
Northwest Fugitive Apprehension Task Force (PNWFAT) and the
Bremerton Police Department. Caulton is suspected of
shooting and killing Larry D. Jones during a youth football game in
Youngstown.
