Western District of Washington
History
The Territory of Washington was created on March 2, 1853. The
District of Washington was created on February 22, 1889. The
District was effective upon the admission of Washington as a State on
November 11, 1889. The District was divided into two Districts,
the Western and Eastern Districts of Washington, on March 2, 1905.
