  • June 09, 2014 - U.S. Marshals are expanding their manhunt nationally and offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Alexander Roosevelt Hill, Jr., aka “Real Deal,” wanted as a person of interest in the deaths of four people, including a small child, in Petersburg, Virginia on April 19.
  • June 06, 2014 - U.S. Marshals are releasing information in the fugitive hunt for Alexander Rosevelt Hill, Jr. a/k/a “Real Deal”, wanted in Petersburg, VA for Violation of a Protective Order. He is a person of interest in the deaths of four people, including a small child, in Petersburg in the early morning hours on April 19, 2014.
  • May 23, 2014 - United States Marshal for the Eastern District of Virginia, Robert W. Mathieson, announces the capture of Shymeek Stanfield, who was wanted by Smithfield Police for a homicide that occurred in 2012.
  • May 01, 2014 - The U.S. Marshal for the Eastern District of Virginia, Robert W. Mathieson, announces the capture of Charlie Abrams. Abrams was wanted for Failing to Register as a Convicted Sex Offender. Abrams was previously convicted of Carnal Knowledge of a victim, 13-15 years of age in Norfolk, VA.
  • April 22, 2014 - U.S. Marshal Robert Mathieson announces the arrest of LaFonzo French. French was wanted by the Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office and Virginia State Probation and Parole Division for a total of seven felony arrest warrants.
  • April 18, 2014 - U.S. Marshal Robert Mathieson announces the capture of Allen Robert Turner, a fugitive wanted on charges stemming from a felony rape conviction which occurred over 10 years ago.
  • April 02, 2014 - The U.S. Marshal for the Eastern District of Virginia, Robert W. Mathieson, announces the capture of Monte Robinson. Robinson was wanted out of the city of Suffolk for Homicide and other gun charges related to the murder.
  • March 26, 2014 - U.S. Marshal Robert Mathieson announces the capture of Willie Daquan Lee. Lee has been indicted by the Grand Jury in Richmond, VA, charged with the Feb. 23 shooting death of Kahron Lee, a student at Virginia Union University.
  • March 14, 2014 - The United States Marshal for the Eastern District of Virginia, Robert W. Mathieson announces the capture of Damian Banks. Mr. Banks was wanted out of York, PA for Homicide.
  • March 05, 2014 - The U.S. Marshal for the Eastern District of Virginia, Robert W. Mathieson, announces the capture of Edmond Ramjohn. Mr. Ramjohn was wanted out of Virginia Beach for Rape – Incapacitated Female and Rape – Incest with an Adult.
  • February 28, 2014 - The U.S. Marshals Service in the Eastern District of Virginia, along with the U.S. Marshals Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, captured Eric Hartwell today in Norfolk, Va. Hartwell was wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service Colorado Violent Offender Task Force for Violation of Federal Supervised Release and by the Colorado Department of Corrections Division of Adult Parole for Parole Violation.
  • February 19, 2014 - The United States Marshal for the Eastern District of Virginia, Robert W. Mathieson, announces the capture of Jeffrey Jennings. On June 29, 2013, warrants were issued by the City of Suffolk, VA for Jeffrey Jennings for Homicide, Possession with Intent to Distribute, and weapons charges related to the homicide.
  • February 11, 2014 - U.S. Marshal Robert Mathieson announces the capture of Tresean Coy. Coy was wanted by the Richmond City Police Department in connection with a violent shooting which occurred on Jan. 16 in Richmond, VA. The victim in this case was viciously shot three times in the head during the commission of a robbery.
  • January 31, 2014 - U.S. Marshal Robert Mathieson announces the capture of Jose Abel Palencia Samayoa. Palencia Samayoa was wanted by the Denton County Sherriff’s Office in Texas for aggravated sexual assault of a minor, as well as taking indecent liberties with a minor.
  • January 22, 2014 - U.S. Marshal Robert Mathieson announces the capture of Jorge Omar Alvarez-Turcios. Alvarez-Turcios was wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service in the federal Eastern District of Virginia for a supervised release violation stemming from underlying charges which include fraud.
  • January 08, 2014 - The U.S. Marshal for the Eastern District of Virginia, Robert W. Mathieson announces the capture of Demetrius Jamal Jones. Mr. Jones was wanted out of Norfolk, VA on Abduction: of Person w/Intent to Defile, Cause Sodomy Child <13 Accused 18 years or older, Indecent Liberties: Expose Genitals to Child, Indecent Exposure, and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.
  • January 07, 2014 - U.S. Marshal Robert Mathieson announces the capture of Archie Terrace Darby. Darby was wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service in the federal District of South Carolina for a supervised release violation stemming from an underlying charge of fraud.
  • December 18, 2013 - U.S. Marshal for the Eastern District of Virginia, Robert W. Mathieson, announces the capture of Richard “Andy” Barnett. Mr. Barnett was wanted out of Norfolk, VA for taking indecent liberties with a child, animate object sexual penetration of a child and aggravated sexual battery of a victim under 13 Years of Age.
  • December 16, 2013 - United States Marshal for the Eastern District of Virginia, Robert W. Mathieson, announces the capture of Rondell Lee Spain. Mr. Spain was wanted out of Norfolk, VA for malicious wounding, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and possession of firearm by a felon.
  • December 12, 2013 - United States Marshal for the Eastern District of Virginia, Robert W. Mathieson, announces the capture of Jeffrey Martin. Mr. Martin was wanted out of Montgomery, AL for failure to appear on a charge of 1st degree robbery.
  • November 22, 2013 - United States Marshal for the Eastern District of Virginia, Robert W. Mathieson, announces the capture of Jamaro Fields. Fields was wanted by the U.S. Marshals for Forcible Sodomy on a child less than thirteen years of age out of Portsmouth, VA.
  • November 22, 2013 - United States Marshal for the Eastern District of Virginia, Robert W. Mathieson, announces the capture of Pamela Riddick. Riddick was wanted by the U.S. Marshals on three counts of Heroin Distribution, and one count of Distribution on School Property out of Portsmouth, VA.
  • November 21, 2013 - U.S. Marshal Robert Mathieson announces the capture of William Wyatt Raum. Raum was wanted by the Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office in connection with a bomb threat communicated earlier this month.
  • November 19, 2013 - U.S. Marshal Robert Mathieson announces the capture of Tyron Walker. Walker was wanted by Alachua County Sheriff’s Office after being determined as a suspect for the armed robbery of a Checkers restaurant in Gainesville, FL.
  • November 14, 2013 - U.S. Marshal Robert Mathieson announces the arrest of Jason Rouse. Arrest warrants were issued for Rouse on Oct. 31. Fairfax County Police Department wants this suspect on charges of sexual battery of a minor, object sexual penetration of a minor and forcible sodomy.
  • November 13, 2013 - United States Marshal Robert W. Mathieson announces the capture of Miguel Santos Flores. Flores was wanted by the Norfolk Police Department for multiple sex crimes against a minor.
  • October 24, 2013 - U.S. Marshal Robert Mathieson announces the capture of John Logan. An arrest warrant was issued for Logan on Sept. 9. Logan was wanted by Northampton County Sheriff’s Office for malicious wounding by mob, murder by mob and participation in street gang activity.
  • October 23, 2013 - U.S. Marshal Robert Mathieson announces the capture of Salim Newton. Newton was wanted for first degree murder and multiple weapons charges by the Phillipsburg Police Department in Warren County, NJ.
  • September 20, 2013 - Nelson Anibal Alas Carabantes was sentenced to 24 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release for unlawful reentry into the United States after being deported and after having been convicted of an aggravated felony. Alas Carabantes will also serve 10 years of supervised release for failure to register as a sex offender.
  • September 16, 2013 - U.S. Marshal Robert Mathieson announces the capture of Larry Whitehead, Jr. Whitehead was apprehended in Hampton, VA after a two month investigation that spanned over three separate states. Whitehead was wanted on an outstanding Alachua County, FL arrest warrant charging him with first-degree Murder, Armed Burglary, and Possession of a Firearm by a convicted felon.
  • July 08, 2013 - U.S. Marshal Bobby Mathieson announces the capture of Dwight Gooding. Gooding was wanted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) in Raleigh, NC for distribution of heroin.
  • July 03, 3013 - U.S. Marshal Bobby Mathieson announces the capture Kenneth Williams. This fugitive was wanted by the New York City Police Department for the playground shooting which left two wounded in Staten Island, NY, approximately two and a half weeks ago.
  • June 25, 2013 - U.S. Marshal Bobby Mathieson announces the capture of Fernando Harris. This fugitive was wanted by the Drug Enforcement Administration in Huntsville, AL, for his suspected participation in a drug conspiracy involving the possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. After five years of investigation, the U.S. Marshals Service was able to locate and apprehend Harris.
  • June 19, 2013 - U.S. Marshal Bobby Mathieson announces the capture of Luis Guzman-Ventura. This fugitive was being sought by the Prince George’s County Sheriff’s Office for first degree murder amongst several other charges including, but not limited to, assault and reckless endangerment.
  • June 11, 2013 - U.S. Marshal Bobby Mathieson announces the capture of Edmond N. Londres. Londres was wanted by the Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) for aggravated sexual battery. FCPD detectives interviewed Londres immediately upon the subject’s arrest. Following the interview, two additional warrants were issued for Londres consisting of rape and a second offense of aggravated sexual battery.
  • March 28, 2013 - U.S. Marshal Bobby Mathieson announces the capture of Ronald Orville Garcia. Garcia was wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service in Virginia after failing to appear for court in 1982 on drug charges.
  • March 08, 2013 - U.S. Marshal Bobby Mathieson announces the capture of Shane Daggs. Daggs was wanted by Richmond Police Department for multiple armed robbery warrants.
  • March 08, 2013 - U.S. Marshal Bobby Mathieson announces the capture of Brian Levern Gupton. Gupton was wanted by DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office for the November 2012 triple homicide which occurred in DeKalb County, Georgia.
  • November 30, 2012 - U.S. Marshal Bobby Mathieson announces the capture of Dachio Mechelle Johnson. On Nov. 8, a federal bench warrant was issued for Johnson for failure to appear for trial on an original charge of failing to register as a convicted sex offender.
  • November 28, 2012 - U.S. Marshal Bobby Mathieson announces the capture of Darrell Johnson. Johnson was wanted by Pawtucket Police Department and has been on Rhode Island’s most wanted list since the homicide of victim Joshua Burgo in July.
  • November 07, 2012 - U.S. Marshal Bobby Mathieson announces the capture of John Earl Gorham. The U.S. Parole Commission issued an arrest warrant for Gorham on Oct. 17, regarding the subject’s original conviction of sodomy, kidnapping and assault with the intent to commit sodomy. Gorham was convicted and sentenced to 35 years on these charges.
  • October 17, 2012 - U.S. Marshal Bobby Mathieson announces the U.S. Marshals Service recipient of the Department of Justice, Attorney General’s Award for Exceptional Heroism.  Inspector John Long for the U.S. Marshals’ Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force will be recognized today for his extraordinary act of courage and voluntary risk of life during the performance of official duties.
  • September 28, 2012 - U.S. Marshals Bobby Mathieson and Gerald Holt announce the capture of Anthony Robert Taglianetti, II. Taglianetti is sought as a person of interest by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office in New York regarding the murder of Clymer Central School Superintendent  Keith Reed, Jr.
  • September 27, 2012 - Today, U.S. Marshal Robert W. Mathieson announces the results from Operation “September to Remember,” a joint operation targeting criminal activity in the Petersburg, Hopewell, and Colonial Heights communities.
  • September 14, 2012 - U.S. Marshal Bobby Mathieson announces the capture of Tyrek Allen. Allen was wanted by Newport News Police Department and the City of Hampton on charges regarding two shootings which left one man dead and one injured.
  • June 05, 2012 - U.S. Marshal Bobby Mathieson announces the arrest of Carter Tillery in Houston, Texas. Tillery was serving a 30 year federal sentence for armed robbery with a projected release date of September 30, 2036, when he was mistakenly released from state custody on May 17, 2012.
  • May 23, 2012 - On May 22-23, 2012, the U.S. Marshals Service, Eastern District of Virginia, Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, Northampton County Sheriff’s Office and the Accomack County Sheriff’s Office executed a multi-jurisdictional fugitive apprehension operation, dubbed Operation Spring Sting, on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.
  • February 03, 2012 - Information developed in collaboration between the U.S. Marshals’ Regional Fugitive Task Force along with members of the DEA, Virginia State Police’s Eastern Shore Drug Task Force and the Virginia Beach Police Department, led to the safe capture of fugitive Johnathan Manwell Johnson. The fugitive was located and arrested following an approximate 30 minute standoff with the posse of Marshals.
